The finer point is simply: Instead of debating anything on it's merits, one side is always in world ending panic mode and you can see it in their choice of words (some samples previously provided) and outlandish, knee jerk reaction, positioning.

Let's take this as an example: I had previously thought of Musk as a grifter, taking advantage of stupid dinks that were throwing around other peoples money like it was confetti. Then came the whole developing and actually delivering on the technology and I shifted a bit on him. Seriously, there is some really sharp technologies in those charp-chorts.

More recently, you may recall the rural internet scam of some $45B+, which apparently Kamala was in charge of, which we are 3 years in to with zero connections and at least 3 more years to go and you know that will cost over run out the whazoo. Musk offered to do the deed, in one year, with existing technology for just under $800M - and got turned down because Musk Man bad or something else more insidious.

So now we burn other people's Teslas. Why? Musk Man bad and falling skies and because ... rhetoric without substance.

Why aren't those things discussed on their merits?!? After dwelling upon it for some time, I distilled it down to the OP. Whether or not it is clear to you, the very peoples that some vehemently despise are likely passing you on the highway, each and every day or in front of you in the check out line.
