I don't know what gives you the impression that he likes the Cowboys.

Colin's MO is just to stir the pots for ratings. To that end, the Cowboys are an easy mark. Especially when Dallas is one weakest large markets for his show. (He is even tape delayed to the least important time slot of the day.). Bad mouthing the Cowboys is an easy way to try to hook some of the DFW market into listening.
