The problem is that the board of directors for the Kennedy Center was replaced by Trump’s handpicked members.

The mayor of Pittsburgh can’t just put his name on a local library. The governor of Texas can’t just decide to build a monument to himself.

But the president can only because Congress and the American people allow him to do so.

People need to wake up, realize that Trump’s narcissism is bad for America and call their congressman to let them know that it’s just unacceptable.

He renamed the Gulf of Mexico unilaterally. WTF!

I was against the name changes. I served at Fort Lee and wanted the name to remain Fort Lee. But in my opinion you are making a ridiculous comparison. Removing names of Confederate officers from military bases versus adding a name to a memorial.

Tomorrow night are the Kennedy Center Honors. I will go out of my way to avoid watching. Any bets that it will be one of the lowest rated Kennedy Center Honors shows in history? Revenue and attendance at Kennedy Center productions are down significantly since Trump took charge. Any correlation?

Yes, the eternal flame in Arlington is certainly a memorial to JFK. As is the Kennedy Center. Trump's name will be removed from the Kennedy Center as soon as Congress fails to support the name change or when the administration changes.
