If this had been the Young Democrats, MAGA would be going out of their fucking minds to say that this was representative of ALL Democrats.
Almost no one is doing that in this thread. Doesn't matter. The next time a Democrat does something like this, all Libs will be blamed.

Why what happens? Saying or doing stupid things and being held accountable? That’s really the only difference. Dems will circle the wagons and republicans won’t, the offender will get what’s coming to them regardless of if they’re from the same political side of the isle.
This incident vs the Jones one couldn’t make it more clear. The organization the kids supposedly represented immediately, publicly repudiated and fired them. Jones…..crickets.

Don't you believe in elections to do this?

Nothing to do with elections, certainly not afaic, not being a resident. Dems should oust the guy themselves, or prove they have no problem having the highest law enforcement officer in a state they dominate having character lower than whale shit. Doesn’t matter to me either way, and they’ve made it blatantly obvious that they don’t.

Yup. Leftists made the rules.
We're just getting started playing by them is all... and that comes as a shock to the leftists.

Jay Jones comeuppance will occur at the ballot box.
If you don’t think that republicans don’t circle the wagons how do you explain Tom Homan and his 50,000 dollar bribe?
Maybe the difference is the age of the individuals. Young republicans are easily discarded. Professional politicians like Jay Jones have too much money behind them to just discard them for a bunch of angry texts. Money, Politics, corruption are prevalent on both sides.

The level of implicit racism, the kind that's important and that manifests itself in fewer job opportunities and the like for minorities, isn't much different between white Democrats and white Republicans. Part of the difference is that Republicans are more likely to believe fairness means treating everyone equally, while Democrats believe fairness means making up for past inequities.
Dehumanizing Republicans as bigoted or evil serves a purpose for some Democratic politicians, and some in the left-of-center press (e.g. MSNBC) pick that up and run with it.

uh huh. Y'all love excusing your racist white folks. I love the "let's create nuance for the racists", Almost as much as "dehumanizing the racists". Nothing hurts white folks more than calling them racists, except their actually showing their racism, or as Vance implied, "it's just what young white kids do".

If his consulting firm reported the 50,000 as income on its tax return, he didn't necessarily do anything wrong, given he didn't know he'd be working for the Trump administration. Although he should have raised an eyebrow at the fact it was cash.

Let me guess, maggies are stepping up their game from the libbys.
You gonna tell me these are descendants of the Dixiecrats that joined y'all after Johnston abandoned the white south.

No because you and the usual suspect's claim "all the dixiecrats became republicans" is debunked demonrat nonsense.

Where'd they go?
They sure weren't backing LBJ and haven't been seen in the fold since.
But quite a few of them were seen poking their heads with the righties.
Gotta say you maggies have an unerring way of adopting the worse qualities to preach to the sheeple.

I imagine those young white Republicans kissed their careers in Republican politics goodbye. ChatGPT tells me Peter Giunta, Joe Maligno, William Hendrix, Samuel Douglass and Bob Walker have already gotten the ax. And the Kansas Young Republicans chapter was deactivated.

And that's the difference. As Jacuzzme stated, Republicans actually punish their party members that do things like this. While Dems deny everything or shrug it off as "no big deal".

Per the VP of the US
“The reality is that kids do stupid things, especially young boys,” Vance said. “They tell edgy, offensive jokes. That’s what kids do. And I really don’t want us to grow up in a country where a kid telling a stupid joke – telling a very offensive, stupid joke – is cause to ruin their lives.”
That is really punishing them.
Vance says he will tell his kids not to put that stuff on the internet because someone might leak it. I tell me kids that is not acceptable language or thoughts and try to teach them better. That is the difference between someone like him and someone like me.

I would suggest you give some real thought to your perspective on this. The fact that they felt comfortable on their little internal forum to speak that way, and that they did not get lambasted or get a lot of push back shows who and what these people think and how they respond to one another. You may feel I overgeneralize it white republicans racists, but its clear that they speak like this, feel this way, promote this thinking and them and their buddies in the young republicans think this outside of their little private chat.
These folks might lose a job today but they will be right back in republican politics next week, working in the Republican Party and maybe even soon hanging in the White House, since Vance thinks this should not ruin them.
The Republican Party is OK with racism. They do some faux whining about racists but embrace them for their vote in every election
