Young Republicans canceled after private chat messages exposed.
In an eerily similar episode to the Virginia Attorney General candidate Jay Jones’ violent text messages a Young Republican telegram chat board messages were leaked to the media. Apparently some of the most egregious posters have lost their jobs because of the racist tenor of the posts.

‘I love Hitler’: Leaked messages expose Young Republicans’ racist chat
Thousands of private messages reveal young GOP leaders joking about gas chambers, slavery and rape.
NEW YORK — Leaders of Young Republican groups throughout the country worried what would happen if their Telegram chat ever got leaked, but they kept typing anyway.
They referred to Black people as monkeys and “the watermelon people” and mused about putting their political opponents in gas chambers. They talked about raping their enemies and driving them to suicide and lauded Republicans who they believed support slavery.
William Hendrix, the Kansas Young Republicans’ vice chair, used the words “n--ga” and “n--guh,” variations of a racial slur, more than a dozen times in the chat. Bobby Walker, the vice chair of the New York State Young Republicans at the time, referred to rape as “epic.” Peter Giunta, who at the time was chair of the same organization, wrote in a message sent in June that “everyone that votes no is going to the gas chamber.”
Giunta was referring to an upcoming vote on whether he should become chair of the Young Republican National Federation, the GOP’s 15,000-member political organization for Republicans between 18 and 40 years old.

So these idiots lost their jobs. Good. Let me know when dems condemn Jones and toss him out of the race and party, then we’ll worry more about some stupid college kids.

If proved that these are legit, the whole bunch needs to be dealt with. I'm not for criminal charges on stuff like this, we're not the UK or Germany, but let the civilian side sort them out. Get fired, get removed from whatever platforms they're on, etc. Speech is free, but not free from consequences. Shine the light on the little roaches.

Are you an old wife Blackman? Because that’s straight out of an old wives tale.

Like Jacuzzme and sand said, those young Republicans are idiots. However racism isn’t confined to a particular party and race.

I'm being sarcastic. Obviously no one claimed that racism is confined to any particular party. I don't see why you're arguing against a claim no one here made.
But it does beg the question, why DOES this stuff happen so much more with Republicans? Why is there not an equal amount of people on the left claiming love for Hitler, Nazis or facism? Remember Kanye? Elon? Why are there no left leaning Hitler lovers? Does anyone here have theories?

In your opinion, is the idiotic part of what they did having the views about hitler and race or just expressing them publicly?

And why did Bernie Sanders honeymoon in the USSR? Why have Sanders and other far left Democrats praised Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro?
Mainstream Democrats don't do that. Just as mainstream Republicans don't praise fascists. Read TxDot's link carefully and you'll see the people on those group texts were people on the far right who set out to ascend to high positions among the Young Republicans in certain states. And they were successful.

Don't you believe in elections to do this? We all know maggies are scared of the democratic process and twist things any way to grab a vote.

Did you miss the part where I mentioned Elon and Kanye? I guess being on stage with the Republican president and in his administration doesn't make one "mainstream". I guess let's ignore the dog whistles from Senators like Eric Schmitt. Being a US Senator != mainstream...huh
I guess we can claim that the difference between them and mainstream republicans is that mainstream republicans know to use dog-whistles.
Also, we still haven't addressed why this stuff doesn't happen in Democratic circles. Where are the Young Dems praising hitler trying to ascend to high positions? What is it about the republican party that would lead anyone to think that strategy would be effective? Praising Hitler and being racist to gain prominence? The fact that anyone thinks that might be effective within a party says a lot about the party.

There is a certain amount of learned behavior (ie. incivility) that has infested both parties. That incivility started with the tea party movement and really started to spread when Trump came on the scene.
It’s represented by the chat messages in this case, the text messages from Jay Jones and truthfully from some of the posters on this board myself included.
I’m not certain how we come back from this?

Elon and Kanye aren't exactly all there, in part for reasons we can't discuss here. Elon's Mom took too much Tylenol when she was pregnant and Kanye refuses to stay on his meds. And as to being on the stage with Trump, I wonder about him as well at times. He believes Hillary Clinton's servers were in Ukraine, and may just believe he actually won the 2020 election. I'm not sure that Musk did anything btw that would justify your belief besides making an awkward hand gesture on stage.
Anyway, back on topic, no doubt there are private texts floating around among far left young Democrats every bit as nutty as the ones Politico dug up. But by all means, if this makes you feel that Democrats are morally superior and that helps with your self esteem, please carry on.

This isn't about moral superiority. It's a serious question about why this happens so much more on the right than the left. Maybe there are such texts "floating around" but even if they are, why are they just floating around and not pouring out like with Republicans. Clearly they aren't getting leaked. Do dems just never leak information? Or perhaps there just isn't as much to leak?
