I know who he’s talking about.

The counter point is there’s a group of Trump supporters that have never had it better.

Wait until the rate cuts get here.
Go ask someone who works for a living how the economy's doing. Go ask a soybean (or any other) farmer how their lives are going. You know, a tiny taste of reality might be good for you once in a while.

The Dow is above 45,000. That’s 9,000 higher than pre Covid. As far as the market, Trump has been a success so far. That’s where the greed in me overrides my dislike of Trump. This guy loves it!!

Biden beat Trump 1.0 in terms of gains for S&P and Dow. Trump 1.0 won on Nasdaq. Since then, Trump's only up minimally over the best of Biden. But he did give us ability to buy a pretty signigicant dip.

Define “works for a living”. To the left that’s usually interpreted as someone who doesn’t make very much money, and implies that those who do don’t actually work hard for it. Nothing could be further from the truth.

A good read as fears of stagflation rise due to Trump's tariffs

Despite Tariffman's claims that his tariffs add jobs, the U.S. is losing manufacturing jobs at the moment.

12k since Aug and we've seen 42k lost since April

Oh those beautiful tariffs; the ones that seem to be ILLEGAL along with the on again, off again synchronicity that only the GOP would know about during the clubhouse meetings where GOP speaker and others would likely give "a heads-up nod" to wait to buy till after the announcement. Tariff on- market dips, Tariff off, market rises.... anyone else think that's ill gotten gains??

Fucking cheaters every Damned one of them.

FYI>

The Founding Fathers viewed farmers as the backbone of society, embodying virtue, independence, and patriotism. They believed a nation of independent landowners was crucial for liberty and a stable republic, associating agriculture with economic justice, self-sufficiency, and an aversion to the corruption and tyranny that could arise from dependency on wealth or industry.

Are you guys really so obtuse on the founders and the intentions of tariffs coming from SPECIFICALLY from congress to the betterment of it's citizens vs the capitalists who ride on our backs??

You know- they're the ones who are truly getting fucked over by tariffs where as CHINA decided to nix buying 2 billion in soybeans alone. Add in corn, pork and the rest of the commodities that other countries are NOT buying----and you get a sense of who's getting fucked. It's not the commodities dudes. It's the people who truly work for what they got.

That has nothing to do with the question I asked. How are we defining one who “works for a living”, in the context the op used it, in this century.

The latest CPI showed an increase in grocery prices of 0.6% as Trump tariffs are kicking in.

That's the highest monthly jump in nearly 3 years
