To the conservatives- what do you think the proper punishment for civil fraud should be- as the original court found fraud, and the appellate court also concluded the same.

I know there will be some out there claiming no harm - no foul no matter how much Trump lied, or the infamous disclaimer- that read/ eat/ shit at your own risk- but those legal disclaimers don't protect someone from doing fraudulent types of actions. If you profit from lies, or coercion or from outright flaggarent improper financial documents, and there are plenty of people who have paid fines, or imprisoned for doing so- what would be a suitable outcome for the Trumps for you all?

Of course I don't expect the REDHats to agree with the above- but putting your bias aside for a moment and just acknowledging that two levels of courts have show him to be guilty of fraud- what would you say is proper punishment or fines?

I’m onboard for the original fine but the appeals court disagreed. I’m a big fan of the fine amount being commensurate with the resources of the offender. If it doesn’t hurt then you won’t see a change of behavior.

Mar a Lago was listed as an 18 million dollar asset by the prosecutors, when in actuality its probaly worth a billion dollars.

A prosecution that ignores facts to get a conviction, is not a system I would view as a valid one, that was purely a politcally motivated fake punishment to prevent Trump from becoming President.

And, if was Biden instead of Trump, you'd say exactly what I am now.

The system worked as intended. What are you complaining about? The fact is that he’s guilty of committing fraud in the state of NY. If it was up to me they should be auditing and prosecuting more than just him. Imagine where we would be if they prosecuted Purdue Pharma for drug trafficking earlier on in the opioid epidemic. Big Business gets away with too much bad behavior because the government lets people and corporations off too lightly. And that includes El Schitzenpants.

The system was rigged to begin with, and even though they didn't remove the charge, the fine itself was unconstitutional becase they intended that to begin with.

We'll see in battle 2, when the charge gets dismissed.

If it was so “RIGGED” then why did the appeals court confirm the guilty verdict?

A five-judge panel of New York’s mid-level Appellate Division overturned Trump’s whopping monetary penalty while narrowly endorsing a lower court’s finding that he, his company and co-defendants engaged in fraud by padding his wealth on financial statements he used to secure loans and make deals.

The man’s a crook Devo and a douche bag to boot.

This is the premise that trump starts with every time he intends to break the law. And somehow, it keeps working on his supporters. He can break any law he wants, and his people are fine with it, because it was rigged to begin with.

Lol. It's a cult. Nobody is above the law, except Dear Leader.
