Secondly the fact that this was overturned on appeal was the expected outcome.

My question would be at this point is what number is appropriate? Will there be any financial penalties at this point?

The court upheld the other restrictions imposed. Will these restrictions now go into effect and do they even matter now?

Engoron banned Trump and the Trump Organization from applying for loans from banks registered in the state for three years, and effectively barred Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump from running the business for two years.

Do we need to wait for the next appeal to get some sort of closure on this case? Will Trump die before the end of the appeal? Talk about justice delayed.

by admitting the award was intended to be thrown out you are also admitting the entire case was bullshit and was purely a political stunt.

Bragg's case is even more flimsy bullshit and those convictions will be overturned.

Not even remotely the case. Four of the five justices affirmed that the Trump and his company committed fraud. Blatant and consistent fraud.

All that they did was to rule that the fines imposed were so excessive as to be unconstitutional. That doesn’t mean that a new appeal won’t assign a new penalty.

Not sure if this belongs in the Political forum or Another Realm forum as Letitia didn't just get spanked by the NY Appelet court (5-0), she got flogged for deprivation of Constitutional rights, i.e. Amendment 8 of the US Constitution.

She ain't gonna slither away from that one. It's gonna leave some nasty welts, like no law license and much, much more. Engoron will be collateral damaged as well - severely.

Plus, it would seem NY owes GEPOTUS Trump all monies back plus interest (about $175 MILLION interest alone). I would expect court costs as well. All told, NY owes GEPOTUS Trump almost US $1 BILLION, plus the public sacrifice of one Letitia James and Engoron.

Couldn't have happen to a fatter azz...

What a great ROI on his investment!

incorrect. the judge assessed the so-called damages so by your assertion if the judge intentionally overstated the award knowing it would be overturned he violated judicial standard and should be removed.

It was the opinion of many that the fine of 500 million dollars was excessive. Only the appeals court could determine that. And even then 2 of the five thought it was constitutional. That doesn't make the original ruling incorrect.

We'll have to see how the appeal works out.

The original ruling was indeed incorrect. Otherwise it would not have been thrown out completely. Embarrassing James and the rest of the left. Now Trump will be getting paid for malicious prosecution and James is getting hit for ACTUAL fraud. Again, the left actually doing what they falsely accuse Trump of.

With all due respect both Lantern and Waco are incorrect. Massively incorrect. The appeals court threw out the fine but kept the fraud conviction. Trump and his company committed civil fraud. Period, end of story. The fine may have been excessive and the prosecution may have been political in nature but that doesn't override the fraud. He's guilty. Get over it.

President Trump will now go after the entire stinking bunch.

The Justice Department already has the goods on Latisha James, who lied on forms to get favorable loan and tax benefits.

And why would you think the Trump Legal Team will stop until all of theses made up charges are overturned.

When they are, The President will go scorched earth. He will get his Justice Dept to file malicious prosecution charges against James ant the entire NY AG system.

When a Jury hears that fat stupid bitch bragging during her campaign that her sole aim was to prosecute Donald Trump, the deliberations will be short.

It’s going to be fun to watch.

the fact you just openly admitted it was political to begin with you lose the argument even if Trump's eventual civil fine for this farce is one dollar

this was done in NY by James at a state level for many reasons and biased opinion by 80% of NYC of Trump. it and Bragg's even more shady bs was orchestrated to be a biased can't lose venue with hand picked judges to hear a kangaroo court for media headlines shouting 450 MILLION! all over the press.

James ran on a Get Trump agenda. she got a flimsy win that's now blowing up in her face like ...

... And with all due respect to you, mate - NOW come
the lawsuit for Malicious Prosecution and a new trial.
... Or another appeal might just toss the fraud conviction.

... WINNING! ... ...

I am not a lawyer but I believe that one of the elements of malicious prosecution is that you be innocent of the crime. Trump was found guilty and the appeals court also ruled that he was guilty. He’s guilty!

The fantasy that Trump is going to get revenge in this manner is some kind of right wing masturbatory delusion.

Good luck with that.

You should know by now that President Trump wins.
Sooner or later, he will get this bogus “guilty” verdict” overthrown.

... We'll See! ...

... They didn't reduce the amount of the fine.
They totally pissed ALL-OVER it as being WAY TOO HIGH
and maybe even Malicious. ... They VACATED it.
Cancelled. ... Wiped it Out!

And now a lawsuit for Malicious Presecution.

... So, now a further appeal might vacate the
guilty verdict.
