Gun laws work in nearly every other country on earth. This whole "impossible to prevent" attitude in this country is ridiculously shortsighted. You start truly punishing the people who provide guns to people without performing background checks first, and you'll start seeing a lot less shootings here.
We're the only country on earth with a "mass shootings" problem. It's the GOP's fecklessness, and refusal to even try common sense gun laws here, that are to blame. The rest of the world largely has it figured out.

why do you keep making these false claims? name one gun law that would have prevented this? just one. the gun laws aren't the problem. people are the problem and even taking away every gun in America won't matter. despite the fact that it would take repeat of the 2nd amendment which will never happen.
the amount of person to person gun sales is negligible and wouldn't prevent anything if outlawed. in other nations they also have mass murders they just don't use guns. they use cars, butcher knives and knitting needles.

China is suppressing coverage of deadly attacks. Some people are complaining online
this is not a US only issue and China for example has very restrictive gun access .. as in NO ACCESS so why does this happen in China also?

There are plenty of mentally ill people in every other country on earth, too. You know what every other country on earth doesn't have, though? A mass shootings problem. We're the only ones.
The American people are the problem. The GOP's fecklessness is largely to blame.
This isn't a new debate. Same old bullshit about "name one gun law that would have prevented this" for 25 years now. Meanwhile, the gun laws in every other country on earth seem to work just fine.

The USA doesn't even come close, 58 in Las Vegas, where the guy was using a belt fed machine gun, not the AR15s they claimed.
1/3 the size of the largest.
The Garrisa University attack in Kenya, had 148 victims.
I guess statistics about who kill the most people are even true for mass shootings in other countries as well.
WRONG AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From your own source. https://www.worldatlas.com/articles/...n-history.html
Mass Shootings In The US
Gun violence is also a major issue in the US. There is some debate on whether or not Americans lead the world in mass shootings, but some things are definitely clear. Americans own more guns per capita than people in any other country. People in the US also have a gun homicide rate that is astoundingly over 25 times higher than in other countries with high incomes. It is true that countries in Central and South America have a higher gun-homicide rate, but the US does lead the world in children dying from gunshots.
As analysts note, this is a disturbing trend. In 2019, the US had the highest number of mass killings ever recorded in a single year in the country, with 41 events and 211 people killed. Clearly, something needs to change.
Mass shootings are a tragic part of modern life on our planet. As acts of violence, they result from various circumstances. Sometimes politics and war are the drivers, and in other times, twisted personal revenge is at play. Mental health issues and readily available guns come together to create a toxic combination that targets the innocent. Through stronger, more supportive communities that foster relationships over wealth and stricter gun laws, these atrocities may become a thing of the past.

A law not allowing people to sell guns person to person without any background check. And if it’s still done, that person selling the gun is on the hook for the crime as well.

It really is that simple. Americans just don't want gun violence to end. Apparently, Americans love gun violence.

a drop in the bucket. most online sites like Craigslist don't allow ad's for firearms. haven't for years. so where are these people selling directly to other people?

if you clean up all the deep blue cities like NYC, Detroit and Chicago the murder rate in the US would plummet and we'd suddenly have one of the lowest murder rates in the world.
here's your problem. intercity crime in Democrat run cities

I own many guns.
To date, none have ever fired spontaneously.
Had a can of mace in a dark metallic Ford Ranger that blew up, but it was long gone before I got in the truck, 100 agree day on asphalt.
Guns don't kill people, you just can't accept that fact.

That’s true but guns used properly allow you to kill or wound many people in a more efficient manner than you would normally be able to.

Fucking ADUH?
And the single blade plow made civilization possible.
At what point do you want to retard technology to the point where we use rocks to plow fields and hunt for food.

Is well regulated similar to used properly?
Because they mean the same thing.
A well regulated Militia who fire with discipline on the enemy, isn't that far away from my "one shot, one kill" policy i embraced as a hunter.
One shot, once a year.
Take a deer, great, miss, and you don't have the meat.
It's not about killing, it's about the proper way to take game animals.
Hunting is a trade between eating something, while respecting the fact that it died to feed you.

And when an 18 year old recruit is sent overseas, having a well tuned and regulated weapon is a must.
