OEB, none of those issues you've mentioned are being pushed by Biden. Open Borders. Welfare for all illegals. Abortion on demand. Higher taxes for all. The federal government has little to no control over what is taught in schools. States determine that.

You seem determined that if Biden is elected in November this country will take a hard turn to the left. Won't happen. I keep asking you what Obama did in 8 yeas in office to move this country to the left and you do not reply.

As we've seen in this thread alone, the dialog of the whole event has now turned into some level of protectionism of Trump's PR screwup in touting the expected massive attendance.

The only positive being discussed is how much better Trump can do rallies than Biden.

It should have been a show of massive enthusiasm and a discussion of the Trump campaign message in order to attract the undecideds. It's proved to be neither.

Anyone planning on voting Trump will still continue to plan to vote Trump, but he didn't make a dent in recruiting any undecideds.
I am so happy that you participate on this forum. Even though we differ politcally you see and discuss issues fairly.

I was far more confident in Trumps prospects before Covid and the riots. This just fuels more negative coverage of Trump. Hillary may have been more divisive than Biden, but she appeared to have all of her faculties. To me, Biden simply can’t handle the rigors of the Presidency. According to the polls, I’m in the minority opinion on that. In my opinion, we won’t see a surge in the polls for Trump. Even if he can pack Jerry’s World. The media and the polls won’t let that happen. As for Tulsa, Trump showed up and performed with the same energy, enthusiasm and effort as he did in prior rallies. I think he will tirelessly campaign as he did in 2016. When he did change some Democrats minds. And as you and Speedy have said, he only won by a few thousand votes in some swing states. But he won and that’s all that counts. I think this election will go down to the wire as well. Am I as confident as I was in January? No. Do I think he’s going to win? Yes. God help us if the mob wins.
Yes, I point out that Biden leads Trump in every poll when Trump supporters predict a landslide victory for Trump in November. It's a reality check for them.

Biden leads in 10 of 12 battleground states but most are within the margin of error and, as eccielover points out and I agree, the polls are a point in time 4 months from election day. So much can change. Trump was far behind Clinton in late June 2016 and came on to win. As I said in another post, Trump must win Florida in order to win the election in my opinion. The odds of Trump winning a state Clinton won in 2016 look low. If Trump loses Florida only 1 other state with 10 or more electoral votes -- Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, Pennsylvania, NC, Ohio.

Why do you think I won't pick Biden to win today? If you believe Bolton, Trump will do almost anything to win in November. He will try to drag the campaign into the gutter and I'm hoping Biden stays above that.

First off, I never liked Bolton. A neo con war monger. If you don’t think Biden is going to win, why did you bet me he would a month ago? Are you backing out? By “gutter” what do you mean? Is it “if you don’t vote for me you ain’t black”. That type of gutter, or another type of gutter? Perhaps using a fake dossier from the Russians? Another Billy Bush tape? The Democrats know their way around gutters. Trump isn’t Romney or McCain. He’s very capable of punching back. And the Dems know it.

Another keeper!

What has Bitten done about his constituents vandalizing the Veterans' Memorial?

Bitten is running on "his" record as a Senator and VP.

His quote about ObaminableCare: "This is a big fuckin deal!"

He'll build more CAGES for the illegal alien children.

He'll help his son bribe foreign countries.

Who told you that the Federal government has "little to no control over what is taught in schools"?

Here's Bitten's administration meddling in local school districts:

When the Federal government sends money there are strings attached.

The polls are currently pointing to a narrow Biden victory. He won't win all the states in which polls have him leading. In all honesty, I think the polls are skewed somewhat Democratic for the most part. That scares me.

Prior to the coronavirus and the shutdown and the recent racial problems, I considered the race 50-50 with Trump being the favorite due to the power of incumbency. I now hesitantly favor Biden but I'm beginning to think the 3 debates might influence undecided voters more than usual due to the extraordinary circumstances surrounding this year's election.

Debates?

Quote:
The CPD announced last autumn that the three 2020 presidential debates will be held Sept. 29 at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, Oct. 15 at the University of Michigan, and Oct. 22 at Belmont University in Nashville. A vice presidential debate is scheduled for Oct. 7 at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City.

We made gentlemen's bets on many things but did I bet on Biden? Since it was a gentlemen's bet it really does not matter. I know I would not bet if the wager was to stay off of ECCIE for an amount of time.

When I mention the gutter, I talk about hitting below the belt. Unnecessary negative comments. Keep it on the issues. Show respect for you competitors, win or lose.

Jesus tapping Christ Speedy. You already forgot we had a gentleman’s bet on the election? Really? I’m sorry Bro. But you’re completely out of it. Just like Biden.

We made bets on a number of topics but I did not think it was Biden winning the election since I am still undecided on that.

I have made the following predictions:

Biden will win the popular vote by more than Clinton did in 2016.
Biden will win Michigan.
Trump will not win as many electoral votes as he did in 2016.
Trump will win Texas but by much less than the 9% he won by in 2016. Probably less than 5%.
Democrats will keep control of the House but probably lose a few seats.
Republicans will keep control of the Senate but probably lose seats.

Unfortunately I did not write our bets down. My bad.

Your words:

he is positioned well to pull off the victory but most polls at the state level are within the margin of error. One fact I just learned -- at this point in 2016 Clinton led Trump in the polls by more than Biden leads Trump right now. A positive for Trump supporters. Polls in the last 2-3 weeks have moved in Biden's direction. In 6+ months they can go back and forth several times. And I've mentioned Trump leading in the betting parlors on at least 2 occasions previously.

I am hoping for a Biden victory in November and if you want to make a genleman's bet, fine. You were right in 2016 and I was wrong. I believe I was right in 2018 and you were wrong. At least on the House

We reconfirmed a few times afterwards. I’m not wasting time looking it up. I know we have a bet on Biden.
