That’s also not where the crime emergency is so there’s no reducing crime in those areas. No one is shooting up or mugging a bunch of tourists at the national mall. Nor are criminals jacking cars in downtown DC. Especially not in Georgetown. I lived their for years, we all knew where the crime was, including tourists. Southeast DC is where the problem is.
As I stated, putting Humvees on the national mall and guys with M16s standing around there in fatigues isn’t stopping any crime. It’s just performance.
