Default Texas A&M Study Calls Obama 5th Best President in America

Texas A&M Study Calls Obama 5th Best President in America

Good research work by a fine institution.

OBAMA RATED 5TH BEST PRESIDENT IN OUR HISTORY

From a total of 44 US Presidents, Obama has been rated as the 5th best according to a study completed at Texas A&M University. The Public Relations Office at A&M released this statement: “After only 5 years in office, Americans have rated President Obama the 5th best President in U.S. history.”

These are the results according to Texas A&M:
1. Reagan & Lincoln tied for first
2. Seventeen presidents tied for second
3. Twenty-three other presidents tied for third
4. Jimmy Carter came in fourth, and…
5. Obama was fifth.

Why waste time posting retarded shit like this? If A&M really posted these results, it would mean a degree from A&M was worthless. I think Aggies are close to being cult members, but I don't think the degrees are worthless. Yet.

By the way, like it or not, Obama is going to be judged to be one of the best Presidents in our history, when measured by economic, social, and foreign policy measures. You don't have to like it, but that's the facts, Jack.

If you count leaving the country bankrupt, destroying our healthcare system, and forcing private businesses and religious organizations to do things they are opposed to as positive accomplishments, then you could be right. I suspect few objective people would agree.

Here's an article about his foreign affairs accomplishments:

"Some people are wondering how someone of obvious intelligence like Mr. Obama could be so mistaken about so many things, especially in deadly foreign-policy issues. There is no way of knowing whether anyone is succeeding or failing without first knowing what they are trying to do, though.

If you assume that Mr. Obama is trying to protect the safety and interests of the United States and its allies, then clearly he has been a monumental failure. It is hard to think of any part of the world where things have gotten better for us since the Obama administration began.

Certainly not in Iraq. Or Iran. Or Libya. Or China. Things went from bad to worse after Mr. Obama intervened in Egypt and helped put the murderous Muslim Brotherhood in power. Fortunately for Egypt — and for the whole Middle East — the Egyptian military removed the Muslim Brotherhood from power, in defiance of Mr. Obama.

If you start from the assumption that Mr. Obama wanted to advance America’s interests, this is truly an unbelievable record of failure. What is there in Mr. Obama’s background that would justify the assumption that America’s best interests are his goal?

He has, from childhood on, been mentored by, or allied with, people hostile to the United States and to American values. His mentors and allies have all been very much like the Rev. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., even if they were not as flamboyant.

Mr. Obama has succeeded in reducing America’s military strength while our adversaries are increasing theirs, and reducing our credibility and influence with our allies. That is completely consistent with his vision of how the world ought to be, with the West taken down a peg and humbled.

We are currently at a point where we can either kill as many of the Islamic State terrorists as possible over there — where they are bunched together and visible against a desert background — or else leave the job half-done and have them come over here, where they will be hard to find and can start beheading Americans in America.

Everything in Mr. Obama’s history suggests that he is going to leave the job half-done, so long as that gets the issue off the front pages and off the TV newscasts."

That's not how you do rankings when ties are involved, A&M.

Yeah, by some measures Reagan comes out way on top. 620,000 military died during Lincoln's presendency, less than 13,000 under Reagan.

Obama and Bush were both pretty bad:

Barack Obama - The debt grew the most dollar-wise during President Obama's term. He added $6.167 trillion, a 53% increase, in six years. Obama's budgets included the economic stimulus package, which added $787 billion by cutting taxes, extending unemployment benefits, and funding job-creating public works projects. The Obama tax cuts added $858 billion to the debt over two years. Obama's budget included increased defense spending to around $800 billion a year. Federal income was down, thanks to lower tax receipts from the 2008 financial crisis. He also sponsored the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, which was designed to reduce the debt by $143 billion over 10 years. However, these savings didn't show up until the later years.

George W. Bush - President Bush added the second greatest amount to the debt, at $5.849 trillion. This more than doubled the debt, which was $5.8 trillion on September 30, 2001 -- the end of FY 2001, which was President Clinton's last budget. Bush responded to the 9/11 attacks by launching the War on Terror. This drove military spending to record levels, $600-$800 billion a year. This included the Iraq War, which cost $807.5 billion. President Bush also responded to the 2001 recession by passing EGTRRA and JGTRRA, otherwise known as the Bush tax cuts, which reduced revenue. He approved a $700 billion bailout package for banks to combat the 2008 global financial crisis. Both Presidents Bush and Obama had to contend with higher mandatory spending for Social Security and Medicare.

Dense ranking ("1223" ranking)

In dense ranking, items that compare equal receive the same ranking number, and the next item(s) receive the immediately following ranking number. Equivalently, each item's ranking number is 1 plus the number of items ranked above it that are distinct with respect to the ranking order.

Thus if A ranks ahead of B and C (which compare equal) which are both ranked ahead of D, then A gets ranking number 1 ("first"), B gets ranking number 2 ("joint second"), C also gets ranking number 2 ("joint second") and D gets ranking number 3 ("third").

Unless Trump gets elected...lmaooooo...the best the Republicans can muster...

Ranking Ronnie Rayguns with Lincoln isn't all about "deaths". Pretty sure Ronnie was looking forward to turning Iran in to a parking lot if they didn't release the hostages. Ronnie just didn't get the opportunity. But he did invade Grenada, lol.

didn't get the opportunity because Iran buckled... I found it amusing that the Liberals were scared to death that Reagan might enforce his will on Iran, meanwhile Carter was embarrassed when Iran released the hostages simultaneous with Reagan's swearing-in..

Yep...Iran planned it that way to say "Fuck you, Jimmy."
And Reagan wouldn't have even counted to three. Think Iran knew it, too.
