I know a girl like that in real life. Then I saw her at the mall with another girl friend... you should have seen my face.
How can we locate you if you ever go missing looking like Beyonce in your pic but Chief Keef in real life?

I think it depends what you consider when an image has been Photoshop... adjusting levels, color saturations, and removing grain due to shitty cameras or poor lighting is technically Photoshop but reasonable to me. Hell I've done it...I have extensive experience in digital imaging. however, altering body image isn't cool in my opinion. Sometimes "creative angles" can be as "tricky" as photoshopping... .02

Yeah any touch up on the body, is definitely false advertisement and in the Real World would fall most likely under the "Deceptive Trade Practice" Law.
Understandable ladies will crop, blur faces, or add text, etc. That is perfectly fine in my eyes. To each their own, but when I see super professional looking photos in most cases, I click on to the next one that catches my eye. Amateurish pictures, selfies, etc. garner the most attention from me.

If a lady uses photoshop to edit or alter her physical flaws, then the answer is "yes". It's misrepresentative. Covering identifying tattoos is OK in my book.
A slightly different kind of misrepresentation is the lady who doesn't look like her showcase because she has dyed her hair a different color, or cut it or gotten a perm or some other makeover.
We gents understand women like to change their looks, and that you can't change your showcase every single time, but it's happened to me on occasion. And I didn't like it. I would suggest always having at least one up to date photo, and when a man asks for an appointment via PM or email, you send him that update. Otherwise, I think you ladies run the risk of the man being upset and even canceling.
Just my two cents.

Boom! I agree. I dnt see whats so hard about updating pics or showcase. I include new pics w every ad, changed my hair recently boom a pic, gained 5 lbs boom updated my weight. The kadies that dont do this are doing themselves a disservice! Ur attracting clients looking for something else and missing the ones that will like the real you.

In my personal experience I have found that it is MUCH EASIER to BREAK SOMEONE DOWN then it is to BUILD SOMEONE UP… Personally, I have chosen to get up every morning with a SMILE on my FACE and a desire to make everyone that I encounter feel BOTH SPECIAL AND LOVED…
It saddens me to CONTINUOUSLY see threads of this nature… I DO NOT believe in being DISHONEST… However, I have had the occasional photoshop done to remove bruises and blemishes removed from my body... that were present on the day of the photo shoot… However, I have enough SELFIE'S on the internet for ANYONE to know WHAT and HOW I look..
However, my source of discontent arises in the knowledge that most women ARE NOT as self confident as myself and I think that these CONTINUAL THREADS do nothing but hurt their confidence and self esteem… leading to eating disorders and other poor life decisions that make me very sad.
So, while I completely RESPECT the OP's RIGHT to speak HIS MIND on this topic… I think it would be safe for him to MARK ME off of his list…
I would like to send out a heartfelt THANK YOU to those men who are like myself and who continuously show that they LOVE & ADORE WOMEN of all shapes and sizes…

My topic here is...... In this hobby of ours, isn't this misleading? Eccie is like a candy store with endless amounts of candy to choose from. Would make sense that things should be represented exactly how you would unwrap them. Right? or wrong? We have all had the disappointment of ordering a food item from a picture, getting it and it looks NOTHING like it did in the picture!
Interested in a peaceful and constructive discussion here.
Me personally I appreciate non photoshopped photos for our purposes here. This way there are no surprises when meeting for the first time.
It is very easy to spot a photoshopped photo. How you ask....
http://imageedited.com/
I appreciate a lady who is comfortable in her own skin, and does not have the need to use photoshop for their advertisements. My comparison would be if you listed an item for sale on Ebay using a "stock" photo, and not a photo of your actual item, which may have scratches, blemishes, etc. Your buyer is probably going to be very upset and not leave a great feedback score.
What about everyone else? Is this an issue with you? Would love to hear!
|
1. if you think photoshop is the only way women have been misleading us since the beginning of time, you don't understand women. ever heard of makeup or pushup bras?
2. how about your black cock tattoo girl…is she not misleading by simply omitting a photo of that? what do you want here, 360 degree mug shots?
3. you don't need a website to tell you if an image has been altered, you just need to know what to look for.
4. using "photoshop" as a generic verb encompass a LOT of things. it doesn't just mean "use the liquify tool to make her tits bigger."
5. there's always an element of surprise in this game. if you can't deal with that, it's the wrong game for you.

To me, I dont think anyone should Photoshop pics!
(UNLESS ITS A LADY WHO CHOOSES NOT TO PUBLISH HER FACE IN PICS)
I have thought about it in past, to fix things like blemishes, but still
pass everytime (photographers are always pushy to want to Photoshop)
and can say NONE of mine have been or ever will be! I just feel like Its kinda false advertising really. Thats just me though.
|
no, we aren't. first, it's not profitable, and second, a real pro doesn't "fix it in photoshop". if you have a "photographer" pushing ps on you, find a new photographer. and again, understand what the term means….a real pro is never going to release images straight from the camera, but that doesn't mean he/she is going to insist on altering your appearance. just making it black and white is "photoshopping".
and, btw….how is blurring or cropping a face not misleading?? it is what it is.

you simply don't understand what to look for.
i'd hope you consider this "super professional", but the only work i did was add my own particular color recipe, crop, and remove a bruise on slave g's leg. is that misrepresentation?

this is terrible "photoshop" unless the intent was to show that the tattoo was intentionally obscured.

Now Im always first to admit when being wrong...
But Ive shot with over 30 different photographers through out
New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio, Chicago, Beverly Hills, Manhattan, D.C. and a few other major cities. Does everything single one push Photoshop?
No, but alot do! Also when I obsess during the shoot about how my skin or whatever looks, does'nt seem that odd for them to mention the possibility of.

well, you said we are "always so pushy" about it, so i'm just clearing that up. most of us operate on the "if it won't be there next week, remove it" philosophy when it comes to skin touchups. regardless, your shooter should make it clear what they feel should be done in post and it should always be a collaborative process.

John and Slave--I agree that if it is something temporary--like a bruise or cut--photoshopping it out is acceptable. Hell, I think you owe it to yourself to PS it out. But if it is something permanent, other than an identifying mark, it could lead a guy to make an appointment he would not otherwise make.
Self esteem is a whole nother (sic) issue.
I think we all should be as fair to each other as possible, consider everyone's feelings, not just your own. It works both ways. If you say you don't see AA men, and I'm mixed with fairly dark skin, I should not come to see you. Even though technically, I'm only mixed. But I would think you might consider that I wasted your time when you first opened the door and laid eyes on me.
Does that make sense?
