I can admit to being interested in the face behind a Provider that does not post Face Pictures. I think most are.

So I noticed that Novatx recently changed her Avatar and a Face with a similar Hair Style is now her Avatar.

Now I am not as up on Media Figures and did not recognize the face and I think the avg Joe would male the assumption that it was her.

And it is not...

So what do YOU think about similar ads..... where pics are used and people led to believe one thing and later find it is not accurate....

In another thread Novatx seemed to take a stance against misleading pics or at least understanding the concept....

Members are allowed to use any image that doesn't violate the image posting standards as avatars (be it misleading or not).

Also, before this, i had Jodi Arias' photo as my avatar. Does that mean that I was being misleading?

We are allowed to have any photo as our avatar, doesn't have to be us! As long as it's not in the showcase. And most who know me know that I do not and will not ever post a face pic here. There are many providers who choose to use alternative avatars (and I'm not calling anyone out).

So what? I'm a big Lady Gaga fan.

I understand that you are ALLOWED to mislead people with other pics. Not a practice I personally agree with.....

before I asked the question I asked a couple of others what they thought and their assumption was along the same as mine.....

What is the avg age of your clients?

I am sure MANY older men around here have the same image in their mind I have in mine when they hear "Lady GaGa".... Outlandish, gaudy outfits, over sized glasses..... blonde mostly.....

I think it is fairer to say that more will assume that you are the girl pictured than will know that is a picture of Lady GaGa.....

At my age teenagers are 20 years in my past...... Through a strange twist of fate I do have a 5yo at home and if you were using a picture of ANY of the dragons from the How to Train your Dragon series I would have been on it.

Some people fail to do proper research and assume far too many things. An avatar is just a window into your personality. A showcase is a portfolio of what you really look like. I'm quite sure whispers looks nothing like a pink and green race car. I may look like a monkey though.

If there are no face pics in the showcase, why would a provider show it in the avatar?

I have no doubt that some who have met her would say she is a godess

Now you have argument with the digital visual representation of a person. *BUT* she choses certain characteristics of such that show a slice of herself.

I won't bring up rodent cells and such from further descriptors since the first three fit what is being addressed.

IMO, you don't have an argument according to the online definition I found.

I don't think she is misleading anything.

From the way you sound to *me*, you seem to want the women on this board to expose who they are by showing themselves. Isn't that against one of the guidelines of keeping members safe?

Maybe both of us need to learn how to get a grip of the english language and use it to better convey what we mean.

Many women expose themselves..... I was not suggesting she do so nor condoning that she does not..... It's her choice...... Personally I won't book with a lady that does not provide a face pic.... That is my choice.....

Than my last sentence is one we need to take more to heart.

Especially since I used a literal definition to compare against. My only fault on that would be that I didn't use the OED version, the definitive source of the English language.

How you assume people to understand things without giving sufficient body and weight to things.
