Default Signed, sealed, delivered! Who else has a new health insurance policy?

In spite of all the hassles with the healthcare.gov site, seems like they've finally gotten their shit together.

We had applied, been accepted and enrolled after a long and frustrating episode. Picked our BCBS PPO plan, pulled the trigger and ...

This afternoon, we got the call from BCBS to go over the policy and answer the questions we might have.

New policy saves us a lot of money, but mostly drastically lowers our deductible and drug costs and covers a bunch of new stuff that we had been denied for 20+ years.

October 14.

DONE AND DONE.

No SWAT team lurking in the front yard. No wiretaps. No computer hacks.

Just affordable health insurance.

Anybody else have any luck?

I'm think if I'd have started over the weekend I might have gotten it done in one day. Seems like the glitches are mostly ironed out. at least compared to win they launched.

I don't give a frogs fat ass what you think, Glory Hole!

I got it done. All of you guys are full of shit. Your fear and smear talking point-driven howling is all bullshit.

I am living proof.

Sucks to be you. In fact being you kinda means you suck!

Anybody else been lucky enough to get it done thru the Federal Exchange? Paper application? Direct purchase through insurance company?

How much was your government subsidy on the policy?

YR may or may not have received a subsidy. To qualify for the government subsidy, a family of 4 must make more than $20,000 and less than $90,000. Health insurance must not be offered from your employer to also be eligible for a government subsidy. Anyone can purchase a policy from the government exchanges.

Yep since assup is so informed and has been to the exchange I would like more information about the cost, subsidy if any, and a comparison to what you were paying.
Shouldn't be hard to do since you just finished enrolling.
Which company did you go with?

Does it cover all of your frequent trips to the nut house? You may want to inquire about electro-shock therapy.

How's the hall monitor position at the nut house going. Your parents must be so proud.

I thought you said in another thread that you didn't get this policy thru healthcare.gov.

You just got the policy and your paranoid delusions are already subsiding? Thanks Obama.

You do realize that you already are paying for people without insurance? Obama is trying to make those folks buy insurance. With insurance , maybe they won't wait to go to the ER for care and thus drive the costs down long term.

It would be more interesting if you detailed the coverages you are receiving, the cost, ages of the people covered and any subsidies applied. Based on what I have seen the costs without a subsidy are not lower than what was available before. However, most information available is for the lower age range and I am waiting until the glitches are fixed before I go onto the website to look.

We went with BCBS. We did qualify for a modest tax credit, which we're going to apply to our income taxes, but that might change after the "adjustment period," which is one of the options.

We are paying more than 800 less per month !(UNSUBSIDIZED)than we had been paying through our Texas Risk Pool policy, which has averaged more than 2000 a month over the past 20+ years.

So maybe I'm an atypical case since I was paying such high premiums before as a household with two self-employed people with pre-existing conditions, AARP age, but again. I don't give a shit. those bastards bled me dry for nearly a quarter century.

Coverage is better. Network includes our primary care docs and specialists. Same copay as before. Free wellness visits and cheap and free drugs. Other goodies that went covered before, like vision and hearing tests, chiropractic and physical therapy.

what else do you want, my social? Birthdate? Home address? You fuckers are incredible. Good luck with that.

Frankly I've given you way more information that you deserve, but maybe now you'll go to healthcare.gov and check out the options. You may qualify for a tax credit but either way you can compare the policies available for you, your family and your circumstances. THEN YOU CAN CHOOSE TO BITCH AND MOAN OR get a new policy.

where did I say I wasn't using healthcare.gov, Gonad?

You boys just don't get it, do you? In spite of all of your bullshit screaming, yelling and turning blue in the face, I got my policy. And I like it. And I feel for the first time In more than two decades that the fucking insurance companies aren't ripping me off.

Pity you boys are so jealous and resentful that the system does work. But that's your problem.

I was just wondering who else has "made it" through the process.

THANK YOU BARACK OBAMA!

Fuck you dipshits!

Congratulations Yssup. I have a good friend who got stuck in the Texas High Risk policy.....same experience...$2000 per month for two people. He got it down to $1500 per month by going with a $10000 annual deductible.
