sorry to say this but it largely is, its because of this series that I got turned off from FPS. and sadly Ubisoft is doing the same shit with Assassin's Creed. Assassin's Creed is now a redundant series IMHO.

I wasn't impressed with COD Black Ops II...so I'm hoping for a better storyline. Assassin's Creed never interested me. All I can hope for is a new Left For Dead someday.

I really like the COD games that were put out by Infinity Ward. I wasn't too impressed by COD 3's multiplayer (the game that was created after the Infinity Ward's creators were fired).

Trearch's version of COD multiplayer has never held my interest.

I'm more hyped for BF4. But the commercial for COD Ghosts is good.

Battlefield games look good, but once you start playing the multiplayer, they seem broken.

I love being able to command so many vehicles, and I love how big the maps are, but the lag just kills it for me.

Lag?

I've played both - and I don't experience any lag on multiplayer BF3. That is, unless I'm playing on a server located in Europe. I just limit my server selection to east or west US and check the ping. It may also help that I have TWC's highest speed internet option at the casa.

Killzone Shadow Fall is the shooter I'll be buying this fall.

Im not a COD hater, but I think Treyarch make the better installments. The stories are more cohesive, the mp more balanced, and the map design is sooooo much better than IW's. Nuke town, Magma, Firing Range, Cargo, Turbine, Studio, Jungle, Array etc.

As for battlefield, as awesome as battlefield 4 looks, I fucking despised Battlefield 3. I loved Battlefield Bad Company 2, and 2152, but couldn't stand BF3. So Bf 4 is probably just a rental for me.

I should have explained that I play on an 360 console. I have zero control of where I land.

I'm looking forward to see how Ghosts play out, since Ghost was presumably killed in MW2 (along with Roach).

You said it perfectly sir! We are starting to get spammed with these fps..and now its spilling over into the rpg world. Assassins creed is, sadly, another casualty of this greedy trend the companies are buying into. At least Borderlands is still ok lol. Quantity over quality doesnt fly when it comes to gaming dammit!!!

I agree 100% my biggest complaint with Infinity Wards games are the poor map design, while Treyarch always delivers well balanced maps. IW wants to do a lot more "wacky" maps with asymmetrical designs, which throw off the balance.

Battlefield 4 looks great, but what I'm really waiting for is GTA 5...

I never really cared who was making the COD games and (gasp) I'm not into the mutli-player that much...I just want a good, solid storyline...that's the reason I finished COD Modern Warfare series. COD Black Ops storyline was great....Black Ops 2 not so much. I'm hoping COD Ghost can come through....
The whole COD Vs BF debate still goes on with my friends...
Oh yeah ...Borderlands 1 and 2 are great "shoot and loot" games.
