Hang out as in doing what? ATX has so much to offer.
There are several rock climbing places you can really hang out, although the better ones like around "my" bridge may be off limits these days ...
Then you can hang out around the Oasis for a Sunset ...
Or you can hang out around the politicos at Scholz Garden if that gets your juices flowing... not my cup of tea party....
But 6th street is probably what you want ....

If you don't want o be downtown, there r sum clubs just north of wells branch pkwy, Grahams central st., Mavericks, and Cody Rays saloon, all on Grand Ave. Pkwy....
