Default Presidential debate

Doesn't anyone else think Romney looked like a 'prick' a d every response he gave was rehearsed over and over again?
Obama kept his cool and doesn't need to get Ignet and agitated for his logical responses.

I voted for Obama and his promise for change and haven't liked Romney since I first heard about him traveling across country with his dog in a crate on top of his car.

That being said and having just watched the debate I was far more impressed with Romney's performance than Obama's.

Romney was very specific in his rebuttals and extremely well versed in the facts displaying an enthusiasm with purpose that Obama didn't show.

I got the impression Romney was excited, forceful and positive (Not agitated) and on his toes the whole time while Obama just stood back on his heels unable to initiate the offensive or use his performance over the past four years as either inspiration, ground to stand on or a source of pride.

Obama looked like he just wanted to go home, break open a beer and turn the game on while Romney looked like he wanted to continue for another two hours matching blow for blow.

Obama kept saying Romney wouldn't give specifics but then Romney would then just repeatedly wash the comment away with a stream of impressive specifics.

I also think Romney hit a few home runs addressing

a) The actual $2,500 increase in health insurance cost compared to Obama's promised $2,500 decrease by this point in time.
b) The huge increase in layoffs and lack of jobs with 50% of college graduates unable to find work.
c) The fed government's over reaching role (Obama's 15 man committee) under Obamacare determining who get's what health care rather than people deciding for themselves in essence brushing aside the 10th amendment.
d) The current state of the economy

I started watching this not liking either of them but favoring Obama figuring the evil you know is better than the evil you don't.
Now I still don't like either of them but favor Romney based upon this debate especially considering he was slated to be the underdog and loser by pretty much everyone.
I'm pretty sure many Republicans, Democrats and independents on the fence came away with a more favorable look toward Romney as the next president.

I still think I'll vote for my dog instead.

The only people who watched that debate and think Obama came away the winner are dyed-in-the-wool deluded Democrat Obama supporters.

Obama is a better liar. He is the Michael Jordan of liars.

Romney just wishes he had the chance to screw the citizens over as bad as Obama - and if he gets his chance he will.

I'm with Codybeast on this one. Voted for Obama in 2008. First time in my life I voted for a Democrat for President. But last night it was Romney who came out on top. He was the aggressor and Obama was trying to play it too cool. Don't know how much of a difference it will make in the key states of Ohio, Florida, and a couple of others that will decide the election. Won't matter in large states like Texas, California or NY.

I think Obama should have focused on the old question that won an election for Reagan over Carter -- Are you better off financially today than you were 4 years ago? I know I am way ahead of where I was 4 years ago. Obviously can't speak for others.

So speed are you way ahead now because of Obama or are you ahead because of your own initiative?

Of course now the media is blaming the moderator for Obama's lacking performance.

Critical issues such as jobs, and the economy as it would be in corporate, profit which creates jobs and growth and sports are you winning and filling seats for profit and growth. Reallity, if your nor making something happen with 2 or maybe 3 years, oh yea you got it, Your out of there......

To be fair do keep in mind that there is only so much he can do when grid locked by a Republican majority.

Yes he has failed miserably. He is also a smooth tongued liar with a hidden agenda just like EVERY other high ranking politician regardless of the party.

The Repubs have shown themselves to be no better being more interested in making him a one term president than in working with him for the good of the country.

There is much truth in what he says about walking into the Republican aftermath. There is also much truth that the Repubs have cut him off at every turn just to suit their agenda regardless of the harmful consequences to the country.

In spite of all that I still think he's the fucking devil's apprentice paving the way for darker times to come.

Once again I'm voting for my dog.

When Obama took office the DJIA was at about 9034. Two months later it had fallen to 6626. Today it is pushing 13,600. Up about 50% from the time he took office. Nasdaq and S&P 500 have increased in the same range over that time period. My 401k increased something like 25% in 2009, 15% in 2010, broke even in 2011, and up 13-14% in 2012. So I'm much better off than I was in 2008.

Obama lowered the Social Security tax by 2% in 2011 which put about an extra $200 a month directly into my pocket. No new taxes. ObamaCare has not negatively impacted me personally at all. So here again I am much better off than in 2008.

I guess the negative for Obama is the price of gasoline, which according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics was $3.66 a gallon in August of this year. But the BLS also shows that during the Bush administration the price was over $4 a gallon for 4 months in 2008. And the price will in all liklihood be dropping in the coming months.

So to answer your question, I had absolutely nothing to do with my improved financial status over the past 4 years. Now one can argue how much of this improvement are due to Obama's policies.

All true speed and your right one could argue who actually could claim that responsibility of course we do know if your in the right sector at the time it happens regardless because of Thier business.

Now to Cody, like and business or team it depends on leadership. Are you able to listen and lead? Are you able to get buy in from your peers and subordinates alike? As a leader do you prioritize in order to create and prosper?

Well, we have no leadership in the whitehouse and as Pres. Obama said last night you have to be able to say NO. Of course if it's not his idea it's a bad idea as is the same in corporate and professional teams and thats why those type of leaders don't last.
Everyone should check out the documentary and compare it to the last 4 years.

everyone calm down. It was a pretty calm debate, but I think it is safe to say that Romney really did come out on top. Obama seemed a little intimidated by him, but that is understandable. All incumbent presidents have to deal with this in reelection. Everyone is gonna rip on them and they just have to sit there and take it. It was the same with W and Clinton.
