So am I...compared to the complete crazies that the GOP offered up as alternatives....which is, of course, what Carter was saying.
When comparing Romney to the other mental midget whacko candidates that the repukes were offering up, he is acceptable. Santorum, Bachmann, Cain, Perry, Newt, Paul. All fringe nuts. I disagree with him, but he doesn't scare me like those idiots do. Now, his running mate is a different story.....I just hope if he wins that he survives his term. No telling what kind of damage a crazy like Ryan could do to the country.

Wood Shed
Jimmy Carter may soon get a call from the White House.
. . . He may be taken to the wood shed for talking out of school.

Bad Presidents
No, dumb-ass,you have your facts completely mixed up, as usual.
Nixon or Hoover were about the worst Presidents in American History.
For the record, Ronald Regan was not good for America either, but many idealists still idolize the schmuck. Why is beyond me.
Regan was the imbecile who totally conned American with his "trickle-down" scam.
Jimmy Carter was dealt a very bad political hand, but at least he organized building homes for the homeless.
He put a lot of hard and honest sweat into making the world better for the unfortunate by building Habitat for Humanity which is much more labor-intensive work than most ex-presidents will deign to do nowadays.
. . . Delivering speeches are about the only thing ex-Presidents will do and then that is for at least about $100,000 a pop!

Jimmy was a very good ex-President. But as President's go, he is second worst, Obama is the worst. We'll see if Obama is as good an ex-President as Carter is in a few months, or four years from now.

I rarely listen to talk radio. I usually have jazz playing. But offhand, I do remember Miles Davis saying something along that line. Or was it David Sanborn. I can't remember. Might not have been either.
But nice try, Timmy! If they said that on talk radio, they were right!
Oh, and fuck off to you, as well!

Con Man
I suppose it really depends on your point of view and your place in society.
If you were very wealthy, which by the way, I doubt that you are, then the Reagan polices that blatantly favored the rich then you benefited and considered him to be a good President.
If you were middle class or working poor then you were doomed to be eternally waiting for the crumbs to trickle down from the rich to you, which never did and you would consider Reagan to be a very poor President.
. . . Personally, I just thought he was just a mediocre actor with a monkey sidekick doing a great con job on the American people. A con that many believe even today!

I've never seen the crumbs trickle up.
