I can understand a reason for disabling an account.

But um, in the case of a death of a member, I find it rather odd that the members name removed and referred to as guest ##### in threads, even tho there may be references to the OPs post.

considering that this members account was disabled, was it necessary to remove his member name?

Every step is taken to protect an individual's identity on this site. In the event of a death I know that papers get found, be it wills, password codes, handles, etc. etc. As the belongings of the deceased must be distributed abnd accounted for in any succession proceeding. I have a friend that passed away recently and as his SO went through all his personal items she found information and documents that she thought was suspect in linking him to extra curricular activities.

When a person passes, the loved ones grieve and scandal nor outing helps the process for those individuals.

I think it is best to be extremely cautious and protective as we adore the participation of members here and we will do whatever we can to protect that individuals desires and anonymity.

I agree. The older I get the more aware I am of my mortality. And I don't want my dear and loving wife to know of my 'hobby'.

I like to think that I've covered my tracks pretty well, so that unless I die with my browser open, or between the legs of some hooker, I'll take my secrets with me to the grave, and stavinChain will disappear like a puff of smoke...

I do agree with you both. I also don't want to be tie to the showcase that I had on here. If there enough time to clean up then that is the plan of action. But if the accidental death of me i do hope that no one in family discover of what I'm doing or did.
