A friend of mine posted on another board that he was coming to town and was looking for a particular type of lady to see. He said a lady responded openly in the forum that she met my friend’s requirements and she requested that he send an email with his references. The friend was deeply offended that she did not remember him nor did she note that he had written a review of her….a very positive review. My question is this request a common practice?

Your friend needs to stop being butt hurt about shit that doesn't matter. It isn't a lady's job to remember every single guy who she has met via his online handle as well as his actual info... it is his job to make adequate references to events which took place in order for her to know who he is.

If he's a regular of hers and they chat online as well as via phone and she played the "who are you again?" card... he has a right to be offended. But, seeing a woman once isn't going to cut it in my book. Unless you're me. No one forgets me.

Well if she fit his requirements why didn't he just book with her? Instead of posting on an open forum looking for someone just like her, but not her? I can totally see her noticing the posting, tossing off a reply and not realizing the handle was his, or thinking she must remember it wrong because, again, if she fit the bill, and he has already seen her once, wouldn't he have emailed her to begin with?

I don't get offended when the teenagers that work at the coffee shop near me ask me every single time if I want room for cream.

Her public reply oon the board read like she did not check that she had seen him before. All she had to do was read his reviews and see that he reviewed her and sent him a private e-mail .

As for being offende, I told him to lighten up and remember that he his a viositor to her sandbox. But I agree with him she could have checked and contact him more discretely.

For the sake of comparison...I am low volume. 2-3 appts a week, mostly regulars. Even so, the number of unique penises that I interact with in a year is close to 100. And that isn't even counting civvie life!

So if you really expect to be remembered from 400 penises ago.....you better have....oh I dunno....something spectacularly memorable.

Your friend needs to grow up and realize that if you see a provider one time she will forget nearly everything about you in a matter of months unless you did something so bad or so great you stick out. Tell your friend to stop acting like a woman.

Can't add anymore to this than what the others have said. He needs to realize that it was 4 yrs ago....not 4 days ago or even 4 weeks ago.

Hell, I don't even remember what my family got me for my birthday last year and my family is more important and memorable than a client. No offense to my clients.

Explain to me why she should've checked his profile/reviews before responding? This one I'm not understanding why you're agreeing with him on that issue. As for her responding more discreetly, well she probably thought it was OK to respond to his request via posting. I don't see anything wrong it, hell a few ladies from KC respond that way all the time. I wish more ladies would do it, it would help out the guys and the ladies get paid if the guy chooses her.

You both need to lighten up and realize that the world doesn't always revolve around the client and his wallet.

How arrogant does one have to be to believe that someone will remember an encounter from 4 years ago. Wow the stuff just gets dumber and dumber around here.

Let's move past the 4 years ago part of this.

I remember my clients first name, I do not mentally Rolodex 7 handles, and a phone number.

The lady was kind enough to respond to his ISO, I don't think it is her job to cross check 5 inboxes and see if they have had previous contact. You guys are crazier with the names then us ladies. You use a different name and handle for each site.

P.S. The "my friend" thing is pretty funny

I guess you miss my friend's point. Why respond publically giving the impression that they never met. She could have answered him privately. Rather she chose to answer him on the board and present herself as NEVER having met him. With one click she would have seen that he reviewed her indicating that they have met. Privately she could have asked for more current references.

This hobby is an illusion. Ignoring this fact and treating people as just another "dick" cuts into the bottom line. If you do not care about your bottom line, then continue with that business philosophy, but stop whining about how guys treat you.
