How do you ladies and gents feel about this?
I often get PM's, emails, etc. by different men. They usually start with something like this...
I see you are running a special...any chance you can ...for less?
REALLY? Do I look like Walmart or a store offering double coupon days?
I don't think my rates are that expensive...in fact, I have noticed several womens' rates going up for the same service based on the simple fact of "inflation." I haven't raised my rates since I began this hobby, and honestly...the thought has occured a time or two.
I frequently offer specials, but they are either not utilized or I get requests for those specials when I am obviously not offereing a "special." That makes me go hmmm.
But the real issue (and I do find this offensive) is a man asking for a special on top of the special you are already offereing or even worse...wanting a 30 minute date when I only offer 1 hour or more, AND then wanting it for less than half the cost of what a 1 hour date would cost.
Gentlemen that have seen me know...I am always clean, freshly showered before EVERY date and my makeup etc is freshly applied...again.
That alone takes a great deal of my time, hence the reason I never book back to back...EVER!
What do the men and ladies think?

If you have to ask for an extra special then you probably can't afford the provider. I am all for a good deal but to ask for a specialism top of a deal is just no class. I think that is when you should start looking on BP. Just my view.

I don't think it will ever stop either. So many guys are introduced to the hobby via either street walkers or strip clubs. Everything is negotiable in those two venues. Thus, guys were "trained" to do negotiate. My best advice is to shrug it off and respond back politely that rates are non negotiable.

A lot of people just seem to think providers are a mcdonald's drive thru menu with a bigger selection on the dollar menu.

I have NEVER asked for a discount.... and NEVER will.
I consider the treats you angels dish out as a definite luxury.... luxuries aren't discounted!!
I will admit to a few blow 'n go quickies when I truly haven't had time to play, but wanted to donate to a great cause as I'm passing thru town.... but I have always returned the favor, later!
This is not a poor man's hobby.... that's just the breaks.... but it is One Hell of a Treat to those who can afford the luxury!!

To ask for a discount is a slap in a womans face..its like saying your not worth that!
especially on or before the first date ..at least a fellow could do is sample the product first then decide if he wants to see the lady again and if he still thinks her prices are too high...just dont see her again..simple as that..If you cant afford it then your in the wrong game..hobbying is expense sport just like golf, fishing, hunting, and if you can afford a new gun or fishing reel you can afford the lady..dont haggle and dont be cheap and leave the lady a nice tip if she gave you a good time.

Seems Dee is right since you got a stupid request like that right here in this thread.
No class deserves no response.

Do not let something like that ruin your day. I get the same thing in my biz, I just reiterate my rate and move forward. Not another thought.
I have never asked for a discount either, but really do not see anything wrong with asking any question. No, is an answer too.
Here is what I mean from my side. I had an appt. set with a lady, the morning of the appt. she requested me to move my appt back to later in the day. I refused, I had set my schedule around my planned activities for the day. My appt. with her was set about 5 days prior, I do think it is very unprofessional to call me a few hours before hand ask to move it, and the reason she asked, although she did not know I knew it, was to fit in another appt. before me. I did not get upset, offended, angry, did not allow her to ruin my day. Just me. She can ask anything she wants, but I have the right to say "No." Just as you ladies can say "No" when asked for a discount. I did not see the lady, I tihnk it was a poor business deicsion on her part, but O well.
I like what Dallas says "It is what it is"

just a little thought from
the other side of the fence. while that rates menu and everything else is at the discretion of the provider there are times when specials can be beneficial for both parties. there are times when a provider you would love to see simply is not within your price range. a note to tell her you would love to see her and if she ever has any specials to let her know opens the opportunity that might be mutually beneficial. ie sometimes on day of checkout the sp might like to book a quick early am appointment and might be open to a little smaller fee or might be open to a discounted session to fill a last minute cancellation. while haggling and trying to beat someone down is rude just inquiring about possibillities and options if done in a nice and courteous manner sometimes works for both parties. here around buffalo / niagara falls we are lucky to have some great providers in canada that do 100 hh and sometimes that will make the buffalo or rochester girls ammenable to similar things. like i said if asked on the proper respectful manner it should do no harm to ask and could sometimes work out for both

{sometimes past friends might be "rewarded" with a special deal..........but only up to the provider's discretion}

Never offer specials......then guys will never haggle you for those cheaper introductory rates they might have seen elsewhere. If they see a rate that constant and consistently paid they hopefully won't think of even asking you to deviate from it. But if you wheel and deal with a normal regularity of cheaper rates often it will only enable them the fuel they need to ask and bargain.
Lol. Nah but hagglers will continue to wheel and deal and haggle you, its what they do.
