I don't even know what to title this.... :(
Lately I've noticed a lot of bashing, (well more than usual) and I'm wondering why? What's the point? We're all entitled to our opinions and I respect that, but can we post something without other members just totally SLAUGHTERING each other?
I'm on this board because this is a part of my lifestyle and I like (mostly) everyone that I've met from ECCIE. I love interacting with you gents and ladies. Even people I haven't met, I enjoy reading their posts because they make me smile. I like to make people feel good and it just seems like lately people only want to belittle and make others feel as low as possible.
Maybe I'll get bashed for even posting this thread, but I just really wish we could take a step back and think before posting comments to people that are mean spirited and spiteful. If I was a newbie reading all these threads, it might scare me away from ever even joining this site.
Just something to keep in mind as we ring in 2012....

A noble resolution for posters to consider, hopefully one that will last past New Year's day. Being anonymous can sometimes bring out the best and the worst in folks, it is a choice.

Every time I read this forum, I take away something with me, be it a piece of knowledge (I'm always learning and I'll freely admit that I don't know everything about everything), or insight into another person and the way they think. I value the opinions that make me stop and actually consider things from another view point. One thing I don't want to take away from this forum is a frown. Sometimes I don't agree with what someone else says but I don't jump on and say, "I don't agree with you, therefore I think you're stupid." What would be the point of that? I don't think ANYONE on this forum is more or less entitled to their opinion than I am, I just wish that we could get along for the most part.

I hope this New Year is the best ever for everyone!
I know it's unrealistic to expect everyone to get along ALL of the time, I just hate to see people getting picked on and the dog piles that ensue on threads here lately.
My New Years wish is for everyone to be happy.
Also I'm sure FireSerpent would appreciate it if there was a little more peace around here since he's the only moderator we have. I have to say he's doing very well at it too.
