Question Twilight...is it that good?

Last week, my friend and I went to see the movie *Immortals.* When we got there...there were kids laying all over the place! We found out it was the midnight premiere of the Twilight movie. All 16 theaters were dedicated to the midnight premiere!

I couldn't believe it...have never seen all 16 being dedicated like that. The usher said people were camping out since 2p that day for the midnight showing...seriously? Has anyone seen the movie yet...or plan to? Is it worth the wait?

I had to watch one of the movies while babysitting my little cousins a few months back. Complete, and utter, crap IMHO! Vampires that can walk in the daylight? Then it's not a damn vampire! Only Wesley Snipes in Blade was bad-ass enough to do such a thing! Twilight is a sappy romance with a vampire cover on it, nothing more.

I wish these kids would have come to love Anne Rice, (the queen of all vampire books IMHO, and one of my favorite authors of all time) who I regard as a much better writer than Stephenie Myer, albeit she does write for a more mature audience.

Come to think about it, there have been many great actors who have played vampires...

Christopher Lee was always my favorite, who was yours?

I read the first book and watched the first movie with my kids. I've come to realize that Bella is a whinny girl. The kids love it and some moms who like to see the shirtless werewolf kid lol. I was a big Buffy the Vampire tv series but not a fan of Twilight. The Stephen King quote I posted sums up Twilight.

Yep. The Twilight story has a tremendous following.

The Blade story was a good one.

Remember the TV series Angel? David Boreanaz played a vampire with a conscience.

The Angel series was a spin off of Buffy ... A pretty decent series.

Learned about teenage angst with my niece watching Buffy.
And liked the Angel series also (but i've never seen Bones.)
Gotta LOVE Eliza Dushkuas Faith!
Wish I could of seen her in Confessions of a Teenage BlockHead.

I have the perfect ending for the final Twilight movie. Ready...final scene...bring in Van Helsing's character from Bram Stoker's Dracula and Blade from the Blade series of films. Have them share a toast while Edward and Jacob's heads hang on their spears besides them. Now that would be a movie I'd go see.
