I haven't been to Austin in AGES-- I'm talking, probably a decade.


What areas are decent to locate ones self in-- and more importantly, what should I avoid? (I assume WilCo is still a hot no fly zone).


I'm trying to decide between a couple of cities for June-- just doing location research at this point.

I think consensus is NW Austin area. Domain and Arboretum areas. Also the airport area has a bunch of new hotels.
Wilco not a bad as it used to be. But still be safe and stay in Travis.

Stay away from downtown. Parking is pain in the ass.

Avoid the 183/35 area

Cedar Park is another good option.

Personally, I like to stay in Dripping Springs also and come in for what I need.
