Correct.
A shallow dropping curve indicates staying power, even if revenues are not that big. Remember, nowadays all theaters have different size seating areas, so it's quite common for the local screen operator to shift the flick to a smaller room at same theater.
And, note that a steep dropping curve indicates quick loss of interest regardless of how much is spent on advertising.
Most folks in the industry look at the second and third weeks of revenue carefully.
Most theaters sign up for perhaps a 45 to 60 day run for a movie. However, depending on who produces, and their history on delivering a good film, some theaters only commit to 30 days. That said, some well anticipated flicks, like a Tom Cruise vid, may have theaters committing to 3 or 4 months. Last, theaters and producers also have variable rates for each other nowadays.

At a couple theaters in Kansas City north, where my camera installers do repairs, that flic has already been moved to their smallest theaters, and will be gone by end of February.
