Am I over tipping?

Afternoon gents. Long time follower, newer to the hobby. I am curious if other fellows are tipping the same for L1 as L3. Thanks in advance, just trying not to mess the market.

The rule of thumb is: You tip the employees of the business; you don't tip the owner of the business.
As per the hobby: AMP girls are employees of the business (and should be tipped); indie providers are owners of the business (and don't require a tip).

Do you think the amp girls only work off tips or do they receive any of the door fee

Everyone is overtipping in Austin. Most of the reports are by promoters who report high tipping amounts, making in the new normal. And they tell you you didn't get the exaggerated services because you didn't tip enough. The tips are ridiculous, close to FS rates.

This is why I’m asking. I’m not interested in messing the market up but I was under (possibly the wrong) impression even L1 was a $$ standard. Doesn’t make sense for it to be if L3 is $$ as well.

Continuing, part of the problem(s) is guys get focused on just the obvious difference between L1 vs L3. All L1’s are not equal and thus not “equally” donated. That’s why I have distinction L1.5 because, by the definition, it is technically a higher service level than basic rub & tug.

Think of it like a waiter. If a waiter just takes your order, brings your food&drink, brings the check and does not do anything extra. VERSUS A waiter that also talks to you, brings you refills, maybe even does not charge you for “extras”, and maybe even brings you a free dessert. Who would you tip more?? I bet some of you cheap asses would probably still tip them the same, but I digress.

It's probably a 50/50 split.
Before My ATF became a big-time indie, she worked for a K-Girl agency.
She told me it was a 50/50 split ... that eventually increased to a 60/40 split so that the agency could retain the superior GFE talent and hopefully stop them from going indie!
(Once the girls see that they are fully-booked with regulars ... they realize they don't need the agency anymore!)

I appreciate the intel gents, as my original post stated, I’m not very experienced in the hobby. I can understand now why some providers were so happy. Just to be clear, I will always tip well for good service, just wanted to know if there was a standard out there.

I guess the strategy is trash other options for hobbyists' dollars so they can go spend $320+ over at LOL. Gotta love them studio promoters.

The responses from GT and Silvester are spot on. Tip negotiations in the middle of a session really spoils the mood. Maybe a little off subject but my advice for early hobbyist is familiarity and rapport with a provider can go a long way. If you have a good experience, go back and see her again. Second and 3rd visits, especially if she likes you, can pay dividends.

Being a repeat customer definitely pays off. Girls will vouch for you if you treated them well, usually skipping any awkwardness and leading a generally better session with someone you're seeing for the first time. With some of my repeats, they don't even bring up HF and tip. We can just enjoy ourselves, trusting that I square up at the end.
