In the United States, functional illiteracy, the inability to understand and use written information at a level necessary for everyday life, affects 21% of adults, or approximately 43 million people. This means many individuals struggle to read basic sentences, fill out forms, or understand prescription labels. While a significant portion of adults (79%) are considered literate, a substantial number lack the necessary skills to navigate daily life effectively.

43 million people, how sad is that.

And we spend more money on public education than any other Country.

So what’s the solution?

Make sure the head of the Department of Education for our country can pass a spelling B before they compete against a school dedicated to whitewashing American history.
