Default UC San Diego New Che Cafe celebration...until.

The students are celebrating Che Guevara until they are "schooled" on his true oppressive ideology...especially his persecution and murder of homosexuals and other "undesirables" in Cuba.
It's funny how these young skulls full of mush are so ignorant!!

It makes no difference. We need to take over education in the high schools again. Do you realize that most high school history classes end at about 1937? Unless you're taking a specialized class. American history and world history end with a heroic Roosevelt saving the country and no real information on totalitarian governments.
They're getting their world view from t-shirts.

1937? Most high school history classes?

Please provide some support for that declaration. I think your statement is inaccurate.

I went to school in the rural Midwest. I have spoken with many people in the service and in history classes. I'm usually saying something like, "you didn't learn that in high school?" That got the conversation going and my take away is that history stops in the 30s for most students. Real history (what, when, WHY, and the result)...

So what you meant to claim is that most of the people you’ve spoken with couldn’t answer the question, “didn’t you learn that in high school?”

Thanks for clarifying.
