Default What's a girl to do?

I was wondering if anyone here knows about lost titles. I need to get rid of my truck but the car dealership I bought it from went bankrupt and never sent a title!?,

I'm so lost!

The car lot you used wouldn't be able to help anyways. The state keeps a record of all titles so you just need to search state records and pay for a new copy to be sent to you after a lot of verification. If you did not finish paying off the vehicle before that car lot disappeared then the lienholder owns it

If it was a "buy here, pay here" car lot, expect some difficulties with obtaining the title because of the lack of official documentation, that most dealerships conduct when a vehicle is financed through a 3rd party lender. Hopefully you have your copy of the sales contract, and proof of the payments you were making.

Finally, you may be faced with making your claim to the vehicle at one of the local Bexar County tax offices, but I recommend starting with a auto title company. Call 210-680-4036, and they can help answer your questions.

You are going to need to purchase a title bond if the title was never transferred to you. If you want the name and number of a company that does them pm me. Cost of the bond is dependant on the value of the car. The bond protects interested parties in cause it turns out you have no legal right to the car.

This is correct. ^^^^

Had to do this 3 years ago myself but I purchased a damn lemon from a shady ass dealer at the time. LOL

You could probably get a company who buys junk cars to take it.
