Suggestions would be great!
So I will be in College Station next week and I have never been there before. I will do good enough googling directions to get there, lol.
But what are some good places to eat at? Any neat places that are not in Austin, worth trying out? Also how about some good bars with great drink specials

The Republic has amazing Steak and fantastic single malt scotch, if you come here you obviously need to try and work in Chicken Oil, The Dixie Chicken, Madden's is good, Koppe Bridge, The Feed Barn, PaPa Perez, Casa Rodriguez, Longhorn Tavern, Sodalacks Beefmasters, and many others. PM if you want a tour. :-)

Northgate is not that great, Fox and Hound is much better. NorthGate, Hurricane Harrys and Texas Hall of Fame has nothing but meat market and drunk co-eds. Not worth it.
If NorthGate were the only option, the only decent place at or around Northgate is Church St. Blues and BBQ, MAYBE The Corner Bar but that's pushing it.

Well it looks like I have some cool places to try out, I may just have to stay the entire week! Yes I do want to avoid the college teen to mid 20's bar's lol. Rather be drinking with folks my age group and not getting talked into keg stands....I hate it when that happens

roxy, you really need to stop by the dixie chicken even if its just for a quick second. its been a college landmark there forever. its got a lil history to it. you make me wish i was back at A&M. what i wouldnt give to taste you again! im sooooo jealous of all you overgrown college boys (just teasin) bout the overgrown ,not the jealousy
