This happened about a week ago and I cannot let it go. I made an appt with a highly rated, reputable provider last week. I contacted her the day before and we communicated by text messages. I was told to call an hour before the agreed upon time for directions. An appt time is important to me because I have a 90 mile drive. I called as directed and got a full voice mail box. So I texted twice and got nothing. No apology, no nothing. I will never choose this provider again. Its just poor customer service. Is that just the way it goes? I guess someone took my "spot"? Are provider generally committed to keeping appointments?

I'm new to the hobby myself and got stood up on my first attempt. I found it to be slightly unprofessional to have me drive 40 minutes out of my way after phone calls and messages then to not answer the phone when I arrived. I did get an apology text the next morning, but imo it was worthless. I just know not to try with them again. I sorta understand since I am brand new to this, but if that was the case never agree in the first place I say. Live and learn. I think it just comes with the hobby from my understanding. For me though it worked out great. I got to see someone else that night and it was excellent.

The comment you made " I guess someone took my "spot"?", I think is "spot" on. (sorry for the cheap pun). I believe that there are providers out there that only think about "right now". They haven't seen you before and someone comes along cash in hand asking for your "spot" ... and boom you just lost it. It's hard to imagine the amount of money they could be losing out on. Example: I have spent in excess of $1,500 on this hobby in just a little over a month looking for someone to be regular with. If the first one I saw had been a keeper she would now be in possession of my spending spree. What if that first one had kept the appointment with me OR answered my call when I called back at the time she requested OR returned the email trying to re-schedule an appointment she canceled on. You and I don't understand why, maybe we should only make last minute appointments that way we can be the ones taking someone elses "spot". Thanks for giving me a place to rant. :-)

I wish more providers would consider this a business and run as such. But, there are some ladies who just don't get it.

Have you tried to email her or call her again to see what had happened? According to you it happened almost a week ago. That's plenty of time for her to have contacted you to explain what happened, but since she hasn't its clear she doesn't care. Of course, unless something happened to her, god forbid.

The only way you guys, the clients are going to get this type of behavior to stop is to out their behavior. Maybe then the ladies in question will turn their way of doing business around for the better.

Sorry that happened to you. But, there are a lot of other lovely ladies in the KC area that I'm sure would be happy to comfort you in the future.

Sorry that happened to you. Not to play devils advocate here, but did you say anything inappropriate over the phone? Did you read her etiquette page on her site to make sure what is and isn't ok to discuss while setting up an appt?

Although I do not double book anyone (I hate being stood up and would never do the same to anyone else), there have been times when maybe I set something up with someone, and they said something that freaked me out, or attempted to discuss services or rates. I usually just hang up at that time and hopefully they understand that is code for "its not going to happen".

Not that this makes it ok in any sense of the word, but I know some girls that will double book guys when they are getting a lot of no shows. Basically they do a "first come, first serve" kind of thing that way they don't waste the day away not making anything. In a way I see their logic, but again, I personally couldn't do it. I have been in this business 3 and a half years and have never had a no show report. I take pride in that and as Ms Elena says, more girls should treat this like a business.

It happens, you need to let it go though I know it sucks, it's happened to me and it pissed me off but it's just part of the business (or it can be). If I had my guess, it was probably one of the younger gals that every dude and their bro wants to tag. They've always been the ones who I've had trouble with
