From my point of view let me say this; in the Judaeo-Christian tradition, the accepted norm is, one can say words of sincere praise about any subject or person. It is valid, and does not need any further justification.

On the other hand, any negative comment about a person or issue requires justification, including passing tests of falsifiability. One may read Thomas Kuhn with profit on this subject.

These issues are fundamental to the morals and values that uphold the social contract in the USA. These are not trivial. The weakening of the social contract leads to dissolution of communities. One result is intramural violence, of the type we witness in inner cities, broken homes, and in urban decay.

I have lived in extreme, violent conflict to a degree not experienced by any on this board. I read about some from Iraq saying XYZ, and just remain silent. To understand extreme, gratuitous violence is to become allergic to any display of aggression, where the slightest display is necessarily ratcheted up to its final and lethal consequences. That is why, in most societies, a great discipline is maintained on how people behave and interact with each other.

There is no excuse to exhibit pathology and misogyny. That is never FUN, never NOT HARMFUL. If something hurts a GOOD OLD BOY, please reflect that that GOOD OLD BOY's words have injured many a woman for NO GOOD CAUSE. Now the shoe is on the other foot.

One more thing.

ECCIE is meant for just one reason. TO share ideas, thoughts, bonhomie, etc. from both female and male members about sex work, a legitimate profession according to the United Nations and dozens of civilized nations, including our neighbor to the north.
