Any chance you guys might actually do your job in this KC forum or are the names just for decoration? I don't expect you guys to drop whatever you're doing to tackle the problems on here, but there are three of you and you all accepted the duties of being a MOD when you agreed to this "job."

I know numerous people who have PM'ed you guys about certain posts/threads or they RTM'ed and haven't received any type of response.

You'll let some guy call a provider a cunt, but let other things fly. You'll jump down DD's throat for responding to a post in his style, but yet let John Galt create threads that you damn well are for baiting purposes only. You'll let Swarmy take shots at me ANYTIME he wants, but yet tell me to keep my cool and not respond. You'll allow MOD's from another state come in and out information in a thread that was intended for providers eyes only, but god forbid I use a term that was used in BCD and suspended/ban me. You also edit people's posts without letting anyone know, but when you get called out on it, you say it wasn't me and I don't know what happened.

This really is turning into a circus and the clowns are running the show. Proving again that it seems to be a bros before ho's mentality and we providers should just sit there looking pretty unless we're kissing ass to a hobbyist in a post.

This board is and always will be for the men, not for us hun. Not one male mod here knows the slightest thing about what it's like to be a provider, nor do they give a damn. I'm actually working on a solution to this situation, but it won't be ready for another couple of months.....

sounds like someone is missing having their own chilvarous, knightly, personal body-mod, who's pledged their undying love and devotion, to jump in and defeat the mean ole' dragons, goblins, orcs, trolls, and hobbyists. LMAO!!!!!

I agree with you it is stated in the rules not to bash a provider or name calling. Just hope everything gets fixed to make things right.

I've never had my own personal MOD nor have I had a MOD favor me. If you're referring to Omahan, he treated me just like everyone else. He had given me numerous spankings in posts, PM's and yep, he even gave me points. Hell, I've never even met the man. But, I did like the way he did things as a MOD.

You must think its OK to treat providers like trash then by your comment made. Better yet, you must think its OK to treat people like trash period. Everyone should be treated the same way whether you're a hobbyist or provider. To get respect, you must show respect.

I think boards like this should be provider ran. Period.

I don't allow clients to moderate my board. And this is why. I want my site to be fair for all... Men and women!

Elena, I personally have nothing against you, but I will give you one mans observations. With all due respect, you do come off at times as a bit smug, arrogant, and well...dramatic. You are also not above slamming someone (think Christine). Although I agree with alot of the examples you listed, this whole thread was started because of what swarmy said to you in another post and it ticked you off. Fair enough, but you did come off as smug with your first reply to Stacy. As you so eloquently stated "To get respect, you must show respect"...I would respectfully suggest you follow that first and the rest will fall into place.

Again, I have nothing personal against you and not one to hound or slam a lady...just my observations.

Thanks for the response. I'm glad you agree with some of my examples and I appreciate the critique. Its nice to have someone remind you every once and awhile of what your flaws are.

Was my post to Stacy smug? I didn't think so, but others did I guess. But, to be fair I gave her good advice no? If she doesn't want to field a bunch of calls because discussing "donations" makes her uncomfy, then a website is a good idea. Post your rates, a little detail of what time spent with her would be like (not too much detail though) and then she doesn't have to spend a lot time on the phone. She could just refer her potential clients to her site for any information.

Was my post done because of Swarmy? No, but it was the post that poked the bear one too many times. I've wanted to make that post for a long time and felt it was time. When one person such as Swarmy constantly insults me when I leave him alone and don't respond to anything he is says is poking the bear and asking to get bit.

I never slammed Christine, it was her PR tactics that I had a problem with. I don't know her, I'm sure she's a nice girl, but I never slammed her.

What I find funny is that I get so many emails, calls, IM's & PM's from guys, hobbyists thanking me for saying some of the things that I do. I don't expect people to thank me, I don't expect people to white knight me (nor do I want any WKs), but its time for everyone to get real, stop the BS and treat everyone with respect. Yes, that does include me. I speak my mind because that's part of who I am, I refuse to put on a front for anyone and if that makes me a bitch/whiner/disrespectful, then so be it. I'd rather be disliked for who I am, than liked who for I'm not.

There's so much two faced talk that goes on this site. If everyone was "honest" with their posts, maybe there wouldn't be so much bitching, whining, fighting, etc.

I think that the primary role of a moderator on these forums is to verify the 'Rest Of Story' status of the large volume of reviews and to grant 'provider' status to forum members.

Resolving disputes and squelching flame wars -- Which is what moderators on most forums do -- is a secondary role here.

is beyond me, i do think that the moderators are being fair and level headed, as opposed to the heavy-handed, power-trip mentality of some mods on ASPD'S KC board.

We are adults here. The mods have made sure that things have not gotten out of hand and believe me, I know. lol. Believe it or not, the co-ed discussions and sandbox are "extras" -no upcharge - that allow civil interactions between providers and hobbyists that are not possible in other forums and comparable boards. I'm also sure that the mods don't just constantly sit in front of their computers and troll the boards for disciplinary infractions - hence the name "moderator" instead of "monitor".

I am of the opinion that some of us love what the mods are doing as long as they work in our favor. But if it ever gets too rough for you, you could always get a lawyer to bring up a cyber-bullying suit - for pain and suffering, emotional distress, and all...... If that doesn't work for you, you could always just have their pay witheld pending further review from the moderator disciplinary board.

Not defending swarmy here, but, you just gave him an out. As he can say he doesn't like your PR tactics either. Anything wrote here by a provider is in one form or another PR, regardless whether the provider realizes it or not. And personally, you certainely slammed Christine, imho.

Yet you expect to be respected here but willing to admit you don't always follow through with your own statement of "To get respect, you must show respect". You can't have it both ways, and when you realize that, the drama will end...respectfully speaking.

Slamming Christine would be calling her names, in which I did not do. All I did was point out that if she's not a verified provider, then she shouldn't have a signature line or make offers to men of discounts in threads and the MOD's (Bubba/Omahan/Capt) felt the same to or else they wouldn't have edited her posts. Was that slamming her? No, in my opinion.

When I post, I'm not advertising, I'm asking questions/making comments/etc. Big difference and no, that doesn't give Swarmy an out. Swarmy has a problem with women talking back to him and proving him wrong, so he lashes out at them. I'm not the only one he does it to.

We can agree to disagree I guess JS.

I just want to throw this out there because I really don't want to get in the middle of anything in this thread but maybe having a female MOD for this area would be a good thing to have. It might bring more objectivity to things of this nature. I would volunteer but I have limited experience in Board Moderating. Most of my experience outside being a provider is in business and computers in general.
