Hobbying in Canada

A reminder to those who hobby in Canada. At 12:01am December 6th Bill C-36 goes into effect in Canada. Paying for sex will be illegal. Selling sex will still be legal, buying will not be legal.

That's interesting. How is one to sell something that is illegal to buy. Looks like they're going after johns. Looks like, for all practical purposes, it just became illegal in Canada. At least from the guys end.

c) create an offence that prohibits the advertisement of sexual services offered for sale and to authorize the courts to order the seizure of materials containing such advertisements and their removal from the Internet;

C-36 gives new powers to LE to make arrests for the buying of sex. So...

# stay away from street walkers
# stay away from any BP lady you do not recognize and trust. UNKNOWN girls may be a US type LE sting.
# reputable agencies are probably ok
# outcalls with known agency girls I think is good
# outcalls with known Indy girls I think is better
# it's unknown at the moment how LE will enforce here in a tourist town, bad for the tourist industry when LE gets too active

Let the dust settle... Shit's likely gonna hit the fan on the 6th... You would be banned from CA if you got caught in it.

I see a lot of gals and agencies have already set up workarounds.. Like john pay for a room and whatever happens happens.

Sounds to me like the "playing field" just got leveled between here and the GWN. You just might benefit from this Amber. Those clients who usually play up North or others who are new and inclined to do so may not be willing to go thru all the BS and hassle of the border crossings if the risk is equal to or, being a foreign country, greater than here. If you're scared to go, I'm sure there are plenty of others giving it 2nd thoughts as well.

Everything will be fine until the first agency gets busted, which may or may not happen. If it does happen, the chicken shits who are too scared to hobby here will be in quite the quandary. But little head thinking always prevails when you're a hooker addict.

That being said, it's too early to tell, just sit back and watch how it unfolds.

It really shouldn't change much. It's not like doing research and being observant were ever bad ideas.

Canada was always lazy man hobbying. If there was a problem they whined to the agency for a fix. Indies were given short shrift because, once again, the lazy didn't do their homework and if they got burned they screamed like a stuck pig.

I could fit into a lot of what you said, LOL. (never had to complain to an agency, though....always a positive enough experience with them).

I always found the quality was much better in Canada overall (not that I know a ton about over here) - I am sure due to the legalities involved.

Will be interesting to see how things play out up there.

Bummer...Will have to see how this plays out in the Supreme Court based on their 2013 ruling.
Will see during my annual trip next Spring with my old college roommate to Montreal. Still will be a great weekend of debauchery.

For the most part Canada is an ideal place for hobbyists to play! Prostitution is legal with a plethora of ladies definitely a cut or two above what is avail down here. Less drama, a safer atmosphere to play in and LE leaves you alone unless complaints are filed.

However last few years due to all the competition that has driven down SP rates to where they are overall lower now than in WNY, the local SPs don't really like foreign SPs traveling North anymore. Most travel/work Visas got yanked from European and South American ladies that used to work North frequently in the past. A couple US girls got driven out and probably banned also. Then you will have to deal with their 'funny money' that is tanking due to being pegged to Oil which is dropping like a rock....ijs

Whole different ballgame over there! The Frenchies have a far more cosmopolitan open view on sex than their uptight conservative Anglican friends in Ontario. Doubt MT will go along with the Puritan view in ON....
