Now Here's a Political Candidate I Wish I Could Get Behind!

The debate for the New York governor's race is tonight, and one of the seven(!) candidates on the podium looks really good, in more ways than one.





Kristin Davis, candidate of the Anti-Prohibition Party, is the ex-Madam of Eliot Spitzer's preferred escort agency. Her platform is based on legalizing prostitution and marijuana, both of which are more likely to increase public happiness far more than boring things like jobs programs or tax policy. She also points out that while most politicians wait until after they've been elected to get indicted, she has saved the public a lot of time and trouble by getting that out of the way up front.

Dunno. Though you should really like her. I've met her once briefly via a friend while she ran Wicked Models NYC; she's a hard-core capitalista / ultra-libertarian. Honestly in comparison with her you PJ are a left-field socialist.

She is totally anti-government, and totally pro-business and completely hates taxes. In the end it didn't surprise me that they went after her. She was easy prey.

To be honest if you need to meet her you don't care how she looks -- only how you can avoid her.

Looking at her website (and ignoring what she looks like), I find what she says both enlightening and refreshing. Here is another example of someone choosing prostitution who wasn't forced into it, has a good education, and wasn't addicted to narcotics. She appears to be a free thinker and who knows, her different viewpoints may make her a decent governor...

Unfortuantely with our 2 party system, she is a wasted vote as are most libertarian candidates

Which was my whole point in posting this. Politics is taken w-a-a-y too seriously. I don't care if she has no chance of winning or is just looking to make a buck on the lecture circuit (which other, less deserving souls already do). The facts that she's saying what many in this lifestyle believe, is completely unapologetic about what she is, and has a sense of humor make her a refreshing change of pace.
