They were an on again off again unstable couple. Long story short he showed up at her place at 2AM and found her in bed with another dude and went ape shit. Dude has a long history of violence and did time a while back for beating the shit out of a bunch of people at a party. Even before the Christy Mack beating, he deserved to be behind bars
