Adding on to what FBSMLUVR has to say..........I have gotten LOTS of massages, both of the LMT quality and the "rubby dub" type with HE over quite a few years now. The buck twenty for an hour FBSM is standard...L1, that is the rate. Its a buck twenty an hour, which is pretty darn good for ones time if ya ask me. No tip is necessary, but I do tip sometimes. It certainly is not wrong to expect more, but that does not mean that one is going to get more. And taking out ill feelings that you may have about the rate on your customers is counter productive.
If it helps, consider this, for less than a buck an LMT quality massage can be had for an hour, with a HE in many instances once one gets to know the licensed massage professional. They give a "real" massage, and are kind enough to provide a "release" at the end. Keeps their regulars "happy". Doesn't happen all the time, but it certainly does happen.
I think the problem develops when someone tries to thread the needle, so to speak. Sensual massage, with upsell after the fact, with very squishy boundaries. I also don't think that a FBSM, even one that morphs into full-tilt-boogie-fun is on the order of a session that is strictly geared for FS.......the FS is a very small aspect of the session if the massage is decent, so it is different. But this is just my thoughts on the matter, nothing more or less.
Anyone is certainly entitled to charge whatever they want for their time. Figuring out where one is comfortable with compensation for their individual time, expertiese and services in any market is always difficult. In the end, the entrepeneur needs to be able to figure out a price point that they and their customers are comfortable with.
