Actually, the candidates (including Trump) were already under Service protection at the time, so her comments were relevant to her responsibilities and duties, which ought to be exercised without political preferences....and any other "preferences" ... she mentions females! She can't pick and choose who she protects.

As tough as it may be at times, LE is supposed to remain unbiased in the exercise of their duties. If they can't, they should get out! If they won't, get them out.

Just for general information the SS handles matters and investigations other than protecting the President and his/her family.

What's remarkably stupid is she would refuse to respond "appropriately" depending upon someone's political beliefs .... if a fellow Agent is a known Trump supporter then she apparently would not go to their assistance and aid if they were "in trouble"!

She not only doesn't belong in the Service, she doesn't belong in LE at all. She discriminates based on the "protected" classes of persons.

It's more fake news. She works in Colorado and has never been part of the presidential detail. The story would be if she put in for the detail (possible assassin?) or she was chosen despite the knowledge of what she said. Just like some of those "celebrities or dress designers" who will not support Trump. You were never asked.

The problem is: If Trump (or anyone associated in protection ... like Pence and/or their family members) travel to Colorado she could well be assigned to do pre-trip investigations and contact with suspected and/or known persons who need to be isolated and/or sufficiently identified in the area who might cause them harm, and will be involved in establishing routes and security with local LE, and as a consequence she will have "inside" information as to the potential places where the travelers will be vulnerable and/or at the highest risk level. She can be part of the "team' on the ground....Plus if she is needed in an emergency due to some unforeseen event she would be deployed for that purpose.
