I totally get what MsElena was asking. When you want a really good selection of a specialty item, you don't shop at a general store.

Hy-Vee and Whole Foods can't hold a candle to The Better Cheddar when it comes to cheese. If I were visiting Omaha and was looking for some Prince de Claverol I would have to ask Elena for a good cheese shop, and not a supermarket.

I'm with you on this one Mike. Lukas has a great selection. I've been able to find some fairly hard to find wines there. And their staff have been quite helpful and well informed for a "liquor store".

As far as french wines, you should try the Carmes de Rieussec, Sauternes sometime... And for moscato... try the Moscato D'asti by Umberto Fiore.

Your typical liquor store isn't going to have a selection like that or with the wines I like. Its clear by their website that they cater to people who know their wines. I don't want to walk into the corner liquor store and ask for a bottle of Rocca di Montegrossi because I know they're not going to have. That was all I was sayin. If some take offense to me not wanting to go to a liquor store for my wine, that's your problem and quite frankly, its stupid.

Would you go to Walgreens to buy a TV when you know that NFM has a better selection?

Another of my favorite places, but you'll have to stop on your drive down as it is too far from the plaza. It woulkd be an excellent place to celebrate a birthday!
