It has gone down considerably since then - are we flattening the curve now?

Just 890 new cases

28 new deaths on 4-10

indeed. but the Right has to have some patience, they are screaming to "go back to normal" right now.. whimpering Fools. 5-7 more weeks of self-isolation/social distancing should help a lot. that is a small thing to ask, most of the World has endured worst at some point. and fuck, the Government is handing out money while we wait, people need to stop bitching.

now, if June appears and we have not made solid progress? change gears. but the Scientists say we can significantly wear down this virus if we act in concert until June.

Add testing, tracing and masks to that, although we're moving awfully slowly with those, in no small part because our federal government has been asleep at the wheel.

Strange when people set themselves up on the side of gloom and doom and then have to cheer for enough people to die so they can be proven right!

You have consistently and correctly pointed out the ridiculous amount of panic associated with this disease that started in Wuhan, China.

bail out companies and not the workers,

nah im not for that, are you

bail out people first, they lost thier job no fault of thier own, but yes i agree not 18 months, but 6 months is enough when every senator and congressman are making crazy money on our backs and getting free medical insurance for thier family for life

ill say that again in case you dont understant

free medical inusrance for thier family for life for every senator and congressman

now lets concentrate on that issue first before crying about people getting a little wage of unemployment during this crisis,

im still working but i side with the people not the corrupt politicians or the greedy corporations who want huge profits and when things go wrong or thier profits are not a level they want they go crying to the government to bail them out

fuck that
I only want to give the corporations enough money to pay their workers and pay their rent and utilities - but it isn't a handout, the government shut everyone down.

As for buying debt and equity, I'm sure fraud and abuse will occur but we can investigate and prosecute later - for now we need money flowing through the economy. The equity can be sold later, and hopefully most of the debts paid back.

It has good secondary effects in that it props up various markets needed to keep the economy going.
