Was PBS or NPR responsible for either of those? Slightly better question, was funding for NOAA included in the CR? I hope things like Color revolutions across the pond or here, Federal lawfare against political enemies, circumcisions in Africa, Sesame Street in Afghanistan, Trans musicals in Columbia, etc., were still excluded in the CR. Thanks Elon. I take it that weather modification testing in the hill country was not responsible at all. AmmIrite?

So it actually is OK for us to responsibly own all manner of fully automatic weapons, cannons and what not?
Nobody bemoans having a limited Federal role in some things.
Just not ALL things, for ALL people, ALL the time and everywhere.

Tariffs and regulations/removal of regulations come from Washington...not Texas. Stimulus checks come from Washington as well.in true Texan form, I am assuming the posters on here ripped them up. Also, i am assuming your business never fraudulently took paycheck protection money...

Funny that. Not only no, but no Fed $$s. (period) In point of fact, I was able to evict a black gal during that phase, precisely because I had ZERO Federal $$s involved. So Futt Buck'em. To the curb!

Speaking for the azz of my rats, I don't rightly care much what the Fed thinks about me spending my $$ in business, so long as I am in compliance with the 17,000 pages of regulations.

Washington either stole the money from people who work for a living, or created it out of thin air and decreased the buying power of every American dollar. Nothing comes from Washington, they’re just a middleman who profits from the transactions.

more nonsense. these people at Camp Mystic were well aware of the weather. no FEMA or National Weather Service cuts had any impact on the situation or the response.

Indeed: Some functions of government are essential. Maintenance of infrastructure is one. Sanitsation services is another.
Public safety is one of the most important aspects of essential government services . . .law enforcement, supporting them and funding them is essential.

I agree with that statement: Being unprepared followed by complacent lack of judgement were the main cause of most of those flood related deaths.

Things we don't need from the government
"to preserve the freedom of the human mind then & freedom of the press, every spirit should be ready to devote itself to martyrdom; for as long as we may think as we will, & speak as we think, the condition of man will proceed in improvement" ~ Thomas Jefferson
However, The whippings will continue until moral improves.
Another reason for smaller government is respect for the people. The people should not be used as pawns or for leverage in politics. Here's an example:
Katherine Clark (D) from Massachusetts:
...“Shutdowns are terrible and, of course, there will be, you know, families that are going to suffer,” she said.
“We take that responsibility very seriously. But it is one of the few leverage items we have...
Let's also not forget this quote from last week:
From the I can't believe he said that with a straight face files:
Schmuk Shumer is claiming that the free press is shielding Trump from criticism and that it is all being bought up by the right, to make Trump look good.
Yeah, we need smaller government with way less roles and responsibilities.

Yeah, the big money maker is so busy, but he is on this site all day. Hmmm... There are only 2 people you have to be honest with.- one of them is yourself.

LOL... I assume you mean me since you made the comment about stimulus checks and I replied. Sorry to disappoint, I was not bragging.. I make medium bucks at best. I work for a living... the fact that I can respond to leftists with 10-20 minutes of thought out of the day isn't indicative of the fact that I make lots of money... its indicative of my time management.... it takes almost nothing in terms of time to respond to foolishness. So I still have lots of my day to make the medium bucks... Voice to text is a thing...

Whenever I visit any medical office, I do my bit to lessen the number of people that are needed to attend me. I find the *biggest* results I get are by paying cash. Just a receptionist, nurse to help the doc and that doc alone. Even when there isn't a shutdown

How come maggies can't specifically point out where the legislation says that illegals are covered? Hospitals do have a "policy" of taking care of people who need medical attention when they do come in, regardless of nationality or fiscal means. Maybe the states who contribute more to the fed than take from it should honour donnys wishes for a less dependcy (sp) on those federal funds and just cut off the money funnel to washington and keep them in their own borders.
Speaking of NPR, funny how they are still operating without govt. funding. Why does a so called libby outfit work better than the maggie trinity hitting on all cylinders?

Oh. Scraping low. Have to depend on a Time Lord from Galifrey. But i'm surprise you don't give the context to the quote. I lie. I am not surprised. Just another maggie misdirection you give. The old googly gives...
"Tom Baker has not publicly stated specific political views, but his portrayal of the Fourth Doctor in Doctor Who was associated with a more anti-establishment, pacifist, and anti-authoritarian stance, which has been reflected in the show's political and social commentary. The Doctor Who series during his era tackled themes like the dangers of corruption, the hypocrisy of authority, pro-environmental messages, and critiques of war"
