Backstage Steakhouse is closing 9/18
The Backstage Steakhouse will be going out of business. The last day of business is next Saturday, September 18. They will be having a big party on the 18th with free appetizers early in the day, then regular dinner service in the evening. Follow the link for info on location, menu, etc....
Please come out to the party, and come eat dinner during the week too!

Hmmmm. Never heard of it... could be part of the reason for closing. Too bad either way. Austin has one of the highest ratio of eateries to population in the country. The highest rate of failure also.
Want to make a Million bucks..? Start with Two Million and open an eatery ....

I wonder how there bone in ribeye taste, I guess I will never find out now. reading their menu, looks like a place I would have visited but I never heard of it either. there are plenty of good spots to eat if you are a foodie living in austin or in central texas.

While their food is really good, their location is not! That is unless you live in Paleface Ranch or Briarcliff. I'm really surprised they managed to hang on this long! Are they going to relocate?

I stumbled on it the first time while on a m/c ride around the lake and thought, "Geeze, a great looking place to be so out in the boondocks". I guess I'm not surprised they couldn't hang in there, or it could be they were doing "ok" but decided to do something more worth their time.
