I guess it just freaked me out a bit, seeing something of that size out in public, on a normal street, in the middle of the day, in a "civilized" country, and TMFT was just trotting up and down the road like he hadn't a care in the world. I swear I don't think I've ever seen something like that in real life before.

Seeee ... if you had expanded your menu like I kept asking you to... you would be more aware of "Man Things" ... and since you aren't familiar with man things..." IT " really is huge...
TMFT "armed response unit" ....

They're quite fun to shoot and totally addicting.
Or you could get one of these ...
The above are just a couple in my personal collection.

Bigger Guns
The pursuit of bigger and more deadly guns has been man's eternal foolish game through out human history and I don't expect it to stop anytime soon.
Personally, I would not be as intimidated by any one man packing a gun as I would be by a tank swiveling it's gun turret at me, but then there is always a bigger weapon on the drawing board.
We really live in an insane world. The biggest current threat, I think is terrorists getting their hands on a nuclear bomb.
Those idiots really think they will buy their way into paradise and be given 72 virgins for their martyrdom, but all they will find will be Satan gleefully licking his chops and patiently waiting for them and happy that they bought the bullshit story.
You can't fix stupid!

It used to be pretty easy to outlaw guns in the UK. Its an island. The Chunnel may have changed that a bit.
Texas was born from gun play. Guns are part of the culture. There is nothing wrong with responsible gun ownership. But there is always the idiot factor.

Tank no big deal nowadays...if you got the proper countermeasures:
http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=2dc_1275932325&c=1
My bunch had stinkin' worthless bazookas...which you just about had to fire up the tank commander's ass to keep it from bouncing harmlessly off. I guess some mutt somewhere actually blew up a tank with one...just busting off a track was great!
