Scary News Story From St. Louis...Street Walker Spreads More Than Her Legs

ST. LOUIS (KSDK) -- Prosecutors continue to investigate a southwest St. Louis area woman they say knowingly spread the HIV virus by selling sex to unknowing men.

St. Louis County police say 20-year-old Nigaila Gibbs of the 7100 block of Horner Avenue, west of Bellevue, is charged with Prostitution while Knowingly Infected with HIV and is held on a bond of $50,000 pending her initial court appearance. Court records indicate Gibbs also goes by the alias "Sarah."
Police tell NewsChannel 5 Gibbs is alleged to have had numerous sexual encounters with the victims without telling them of her own HIV status.

"Well the first thing is go see a doctor, be checked, make sure you're medically all right. If they have significant others, hopefully they'll share that information with them," St. Louis County Police Sergeant Adam Kavanaugh said.

"But also come forward as victims of hers, because we know that she did not tell anybody that she was infected that she had contact with. And that means either professionally or in her personal life, because she also has personal relationships with people as well."

Investigators say Gibbs solicited men on Bellevue in Richmond Heights and Maplewood and in St. Louis on Grand, Cherokee, and Chippewa.
Authorities are now searching for additional victims who may have also exposed themselves to the infected woman they arrested on Thursday.
Jodie Bica is STD Prgram Manager for the St. Louis County Health Department. Bica said whether a partner of a person who has sex with someone who is HIV-positive contracts the virus depends on the viral load and the partner's immune system.

"So there's no sense in someone rushing to the clinic, 'Oh I had unprotected sex yesterday, did I get HIV?' said Bica. "Because it's not going to show up. And then if the client does indeed test positive, then there's a risk to the partner."

Police say anyone who recognizes Gibbs and had sexual activities with her, should immediately seek medical treatment and contact the St. Louis County Police Crimes Against persons Unit at 1-314-615-5400.

What's more shocking is that there is a section in the San Antonio forum where members openly talk about having sex with street walkers.

Providers should go to the Other Reviews section and compile a "Do Not See" list of all of the San Antonio men who have openly confessed to picking up street walkers.

But unfortunately, most providers don't think twice about seeing men who also pick up street walkers.

If I was a provider I wouldn't see anyone who also slept with street walkers!!!

There are a lot of areas on this site that have such a forum. It is not unique to this area.

Will that also include people who participate in BBFS or see providers who offer this service as well? Do keep in mind that there are a great many men who participate in street action who never post. I don't think you are giving the women enough credit. Many are on top of their own DNS lists whether its for people who see street girls or any other reason they seem fit

Diseases are not limited to SWs only. Whether its a SW, a married couple, a one night stand, a verified companion with a referenced hobbyist- there is ALWAYS a risk.

The shit is everywhere and the best thing a person can do is cover it up ALL the time. Always look for the signs that sometimes do show even though many do not.

I have a few issues with what Nebraska is saying.
The way I am reading his statements, if a guy picks up street walkers, he should just be automaticly banned from seeing anyone but street walkers. Why? Does he just automaticly assume that street walkers are low class std factories? While I will grant that the risks in seeing a SW are much greater on all fronts, it should not brand anyone one as DNS. I wonder if Nebraska knows that some of the ladies on this and other hobby boards may have started on the street and worked thier way up. I guess us hobby gents that have more than 15 years in (The hobby didn't really hit the internet big till '99/2000 and later) should all be put on those DNS lists due to the fact that we saw SW's back in the day. Great line from a movie: No one likes the list guy!
