I'm not a southern girl, but have been here for a while now. And maybe its just my west coast mentality that made this such a shocker but...

Recently, a couple of my clients told me that they've been refused a booking based on race or that they've seen ads specifying that the provider doesn't see gents of particular races. Is this a new thing, or am I just out of the loop here? Either is possible, so I'm asking:

Ladies & Gent's alike: Do you have ethnic preferences as to providers or hobbyists you will see? Is the race of a potential date something that determines whether you will see them?

Its really never occurred to me to refuse to see or seek out certain gents based on their ethnicity, but apparently it happens. Am I being totally naive? Why is one "Jr." different than another? Could it be a case of one bad apple spoiling the bunch? Educate me.

I'm book is open to all races. I go by the services that they list and the services that I need. Then I call or email telling them my age, height, weight, the race that I look like and the color of my cash.

There are many black providers I won't see just as there are many white providers I won't see based on my preferences for looks, body type, attitude and other factors but race is not one of them.

I know there are several ladies here who have what is referred to as an NBA (no blacks allowed) policy. I think it's their prerogative as to whether or not a lady decides who she wants to see based on race, just as in personal life, regardless of reason, whether it's racism, bias, past experiences or just personal preferences. This isn't necessarily an "equal opportunity" business. Just as some providers might not want to see overweight guys or guys under a certain age or over a certain age, it's their preference. There are many other women that guys can spend their money on if these women are not available to them. Is it disappointing to be turned away from someone you want to see? Sure, but it's just the way it is.

Based on what I've read/heard from providers, white and black, many of the young black men that they've seen are just not as mature, considerate and respectful as men of the same age but different races and older black men, so they've decided to not see them. The term "one rotten apple spoils the whole barrel" is appropriate but it seems there are a lot of rotten apples in this barrel.

Thanks for the input. And Dave, you are certainly right...its anyone's choice for sure. I was kind of just wondering if there was something specific I was missing, or whether it was just "the good ole south". From what you are saying, I don't think its a southern thing, I think its a character thing. If the younger black men aren't respectful, then they just have bad character, period. I wouldn't see someone like that either, but I can't say I would stop seeing them all based on a common race. Maybe you're right...could be a bunch of bad apples. I personally like to see older gents b/c they know better (about almost every aspect of treating ladies well), but I don't count the younger ones out.

I think this is correct more times than not. One provider I know of with an NBA policy is from up north but spends time here, so there goes the "southern thing" theory.

I couldabsolutely care less about the color of a providers skin. I book providers based on their reviews, services they provide and a look that I am attracted too.

welcome to the south sugar! It is not RIGHT,but sometimes that's the way things are....
It is not just about black men though..I know other southern providers who will not see guys who are asian or mexican...I also encountered a client this week from texas who was going to see a reputable provider,till he found out she was black

the same is true in the swingers world...we have had couples refuse to play with us cause I play with black men! {wtf??}

not my opinion though! I care more about the "person" you are!!! I will see any guy who is clean/respectful and brings me green{lol}....attitude is also important!

I would never venture to speculate why ladies restrict who they see based on age, race, etc etc etc. I assume they have their reasons and it's not my place to judge them for it, regardless of whether I agree with their restrictions or don't.

To me, I don't care what the color or a woman's skin is or how old they are. I find beauty across the board and I'm equally interested in a woman's personality & attitude.

That's just sad. Luckily, all the gents I've seen were interested because they were looking for a little mocha. LOL.

I've seen it in the swinger's world too, and it pissed me off. But, what are you gonna do? Move on I guess. And you're right...everyone's money is green!
