Sorry but I have no pity for these folks who claim they didn't notice the weight increase till it was too late.

Well no one goes from a 0 to a 14 over night so I assume one would notice a weight gain of THAT magnitude. But a 0 to a 4 isn't as likely to cause alarm. Even if they do notice, most times they think "oh its just 5lbs, I can lose that anytime".

If one decides to start a high protein diet I forgot to mention it is crucial to maintain hydration.
If not you run the risk of ketosis.

My point is that it should cause an alarm. 5lbs is a noticeable gain.
Over a year ago I visited the museum of natural science to see the body worlds exhibit, it's interesting to see how your body functions and what can happen when you introduce vices of any sort to your body. I guarantee that exhibit will make you appreciate your body a lot more. Seeing the layers of fat, clogged arteries, and other sorts of harm we cause our body as a result of our poor practices up front is an eye opener.

Ha! Love it...story on KHOU about Whataburger adding "low calorie" items to their menu...
http://www.whataburger.com/browse_nutritional_info.php
That probably means going from 1,000 calories for a burger to 800...fucking stupid...

This is the problem right here...the FDA approving a "weight loss pill"...because the fat lazy people can't motivate themselves to do anything but put something else in their mouths...

Here you go...only the beginning...as leaders start to realize that most people are not "smart enough to decide for themselves what to eat and drink"...
