Exclamation Virulent Poison

Pheew!

Where do all these angry people come from?

And what exactly is your beef with me anyway?

Honestly, I don't really care all that much, but all that free-floating and unwarranted hatred you harbor inside should really bother you, but you don't even seem to know the virulent poison you create inside of your soul with that negative attitude.

I merely asked an honest question about where you as an individual feel you stand in the social hierarchy of the world and suddenly I am hit with a barrage of insults.

What is wrong with wanting to know the diameter of the earth?

Every child should know such fundamentals of the world we live in.

Offhand, I would say that perhaps you are really angry only because you feel you are really low on the totem pole and attacking anyone who reminds you of it is better than finding ways to improve your lives.

That is understandable, but it won't get you anywhere, but lower on the social hierarchy.

. . . I would recommend that you get a stiff drink or a bubble bath to lift your spirts, but I suppose just attacking me is more satisfying to you!

Most of us, including myself, when I find myself PMS'ing all over my posts, am willing to admit it, and apologize. To continue to find higher stones to step on when you can just give an honest answer to legitimate rebuttal to your posts says you feel you can't be wrong. In doing this, it does hint around to megalomania.

You know we had a saying in debate. Throwing insults instead of facts is a sure way to tell who lost the fight.
Congratulations! You have discovered his playbook.

The idea of a Social Hierarchy has no place or real meaning in a free and open society. For those who succumb to the idea that a Social Hierarchy posses any merit will be inclined to place judgement on others and in turn be judged himself. All men have made their contribution to society no matter how another may view it. The teachings of God have always been to judge no man. For God isn't concerned of what another thinks of you nor does he care particularly what you may think of others. God only cares of what you think of yourself.

Exclamation Social Hierarchy

Well, it so happens that I agree with you, but only intellectually, however, the concept of a social hierarchy remains and is an arbitrary construct of human interactions and not a divine design.

So let's keep God out of the conversation to make this thing understandable.

For better or worse, a social hierarchy is something that all nations on this earth and even all animal kingdoms develop as they mature.

Personally, I do not like it, but my dislike will not lessen its influence and if I want to operate in society, I have to accept that it is how society operates and learn how to be the best player in the league regardless of what I think of the rules..

It is simply a requirement for the coherent operation of certain theaters of life.

Imagine how the military branches of government could operate without a strict hierarchical system so that people know who does what.

. . . It just would be total chaos!

Certainly a Social Hierarchy exists. No one can deny that, but we don't have to succumb to it. In the Animal Kingdom their hierarchy is more about survival than social status. This post got somewhat flamed because of the judgemental overtones it projected. I like this quote by Merrianne Williams it seems appropriate for this subject matter.

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Exclamation Social Hierarchy

Well, hold on to that uplifting thought because you won't find many especially on this rancorous board.

I've read some of her work, but I don't think the world is quite ready for her.

There are far too many dummies running loose who live only to put-down anything that sounds too far out.

. . . There is a social hierarchy in the world and everyone is there somewhere, but outside of the military it is quite vaporous and capricious!

Well Fast Gunn the only thing that you have express here on this thread is that there is a Social Hierarchy. So whats the final analysis of it all. You asked where everyone felt they stood within this Social classification. I think for most it might be a bit hard to say where they actually stand, and frankly does it really matter.

Exclamation Matters

Well, you're damned right it matters.

I think it's important to first realize that there is a hierarchical system at work in the world wherever you happen to be whether you agree with the system or not, it not really relevant.

It is similar to gravity in that regard as it operates 24/7 and affects everyone. Saint or sinner alike.

Early in my life, I used to look at it as some sort of joke with no relevance to me because I thought I was above it, but it's not quite so simple to opt out of the system.

Social hierarchy is really a very complex and it's pervasive ranking system and it operates quietly in the background in the affairs of man.

. . . The question is do you accept it and try to climb the ladder of success or become a hermit and live in a cave somewhere?
