Have you ever heard of an escort suing in small claims court for nonpayment of services? I just watched that happen on a TV court show this morning. It was on "America's Court with Judge Ross" Of course this is arbitration and not an actual small claims court, but the majority of their cases are pulled from small claims filings. The escort was not paid the entire $5,000 owed for a weekend long appointment. The judge agreed that the balance was due and awarded the unpaid portion of the fee. The best part was that the binding agreement was written on a cocktail napkin and signed by both parties.

Yes, but just like this case, both parties must have signed an agreement...happens in major cities with escorts for very high-end clients, and with agencies, especially...

I was a witness in just such a case, (but not in small claims court) right here in Pulaski County, back in the early 80's...Anyone remember "Locke and Lassiter" and "Arkoma Exploration"? Judge awarded the escort $15K + court costs, for services rendered...danced all around the 'prostitution' angle without actually saying it, but the award was for 90+ hours on a continuous 'date' with "Mr. Smith and Mr. Jones"

There were several times during the trial that I nearly busted a gut trying to keep from laughing in open court! "Yes, your Honor, she was allowed to sleep, occasionally, while on this date" "No, your Honor, she did not have to punch a time clock" "Yes, your Honor, she was allowed to go to the bathroom and take frequent breaks." "No, your Honor, there was no reason to suspect that she was being held against her wall, eer, umm, against her will."

These are both interesting stories. The ladies should have gotten their compensation up front, Just because someone thinks they can afford to have a woman for a weekend or a week doesn't mean their a cheap ass. It seems like both of these cases help to prove that point.

It is startling that the police and courts systems didn't charge both parties in both cases and give them a criminal record! They'll do anything to increase their fine revenues. Things are way out of control now and this goes way beyond hobbying, LE will try to hook up any woman or John who is looking to have a good time while minding their own business.

LE scum have sunken to new lows and they know it! They have to hassle citizens who are doing nothing wrong and going about their own business. Listen up Assholes, we pay taxes too! Just because you have to work 40 hours a week and get half pay at the end of two weeks, while getting gang raped by the politicians, judges, and bankers who lie, steal, and push higher taxes on the people doesn't make it right for you jackasses to hassle the public! Got it punks!

Ahhh yes, I remember it well, but had forgotten about that part of the case! What I've always wondered was how well the attorneys for both sides and the judge "knew" the escort?

Actually, I was watching Judge Judy once when a lady said "he said I didn't have to pay him back if I would have sex with him." Judge Judy replied "well, which do you want? Are you going to have sex with him or pay him back?" It was pretty damn funny.

I have known of both judges and cops that were... um, "extremely familiar" with some escorts in the area. I read just the other day that a cop is over 4 times more likely to hire a provider than arrest her. A lot of LE is like the rest of us.... desperately horny and always on the chase.
