how can a housing market crash that started in 07 under a republican president be the fault of a dem president that didnt take office until 2009?

I hope Obama and his zombie followers continue to use that excuse thru the summer campgain. If they do, this could turn out to be a near historic landslide against Obama and his failed leadership.

the housing peak and crash began with a republican president ... Bush took credit for the peak but not the crash?

At this point in the game it's too late. Most reasonable voters stopped believing Obama's bullshit.
Blame Bush, yada yada,,,,it just doesn't cut the mustard. That is why Obama's ONLY chance at winning is to divide and conquer. And that won't work with the Independents.
He has no winning issues to campgain on..................but as you can see I am trying to come up with a few slogans for the guy.
How about:
"I Know Keystone Was A Net Employer; But....."
Nope, that one won't work.

Oh, this one is a sure winning slogan for Obama to boast over:
"Under My Watch America Lost It's AAA Credit Rating"
It's kinda jinglie and fits with the household wealth decline. I think this slogan is definite bumper sticker material for Obama's campgain.

Maybe because The House and Senate were Democratically controlled at that point.  Was also the time when gas first shot up to $4.00 a gallon.
